Greetings, Sir Magi!
All of us strive for success. We do all things, all measures, possible so that
the success we so hope for will be attainable. But along the way, as we look
for ways to make things easier, we commit mistakes. Were humans, after all.
Its part of our nature. But through these mistakes, we learn.
The recent happenings that involved the circulation of the copy of a previous
test of the subject has caused trouble to those who were involved and even
to those who werent. All the efforts exerted by the students for the exam
were all for naught. But most of all, the thing it has greatly affected was your
trust. And we are very sorry. Since the beginning of the semester, you have
trusted us that we will be doing our best to learn; that we will be honest as
we do so. But because of what happened, that trust was shattered and there
is no certainty if its pieces will be put back together.
Last time, you had us make a decision a decision of a new approach to the
subject. It was either to receive a grade of 1.75 without any effort, or to
continue the class discussions provided that there will be a quiz before every
meeting about the topic that is to be discussed on that meeting. And through
careful deliberation and discussion, the class arrived at a consensus. We are
choosing the second option but, if youll agree, with a little modification.
Instead of having a quiz every meeting, we request that you make it weekly.
That is if its fine with you. We are hoping that we will arrive with an
understanding.
