493.07 Pump Interface

This addendum (Rev B) applies to the 407 Controller Product Manual

(MTS p/n 119499-00, Rev B or Rev C). It explains how to install the
493.07 Pump Interface.

Model 493.07 Hydraulic Pump Interface

The 493.07 Hydraulic Pump Interface is designed to connect the 407
Controller to a hydraulic power supply (HPS) such as MTS Model 506
HPS or equivalent relay-operated pump. The Pump Interface converts
logic-level signals to and from the 407 Controller to relay signals used by
the HPS pump.

! CAUTION
You must have a 493.07 Hydraulic Pump Interface designed for the
correct voltage before installation.
Connecting an interface for 24 Vdc to a 115 Vac pump causes
improper operation.
The design voltage is marked on the cover of the 493.07 Hydraulic Pump
Interface. Make sure that voltage is correct before installation.

Setting Jumpers on the 493.07 Pump Interface

As shipped, the HPS interface on the 493.07 Pump Interface is compatible
with 458, 490.01 (TestStar), and 497.05 controllers. To make it compatible
instead with the 436.11, 413.05, and 407 Controllers using the 407.05
interface, make the jumper changes as described in the following table:

jumper setting must be correct for compatibility (See Setting Jumpers on
the 493.07 earlier in this addendum).
