Isaiah66:23
GenesistellsusthatinthebeginningGodtooksixdaystocreatetheheavensandthe
earth,andthenHeceasedHisworkandrestedtheseventhday:
Gen2:1Thustheheavensandtheearthwerefinished,andallthehostof
them.
Gen2:2AndontheseventhdayGodendedhisworkwhichhehadmade
andherestedontheseventhdayfromallhisworkwhichhehadmade.
Gen2:3AndGodblessedtheseventhday,andsanctifiedit:becausethatinit
hehadrestedfromallhisworkwhichGodcreatedandmade.
JesustellsusthatthisseventhdaysabbathwasmadebyHimforthebenefitofall
mankind:
Mark2:27Andhesaiduntothem,Thesabbathwasmadeforman,andnot
manforthesabbath:

Isaiahaddsthefollowingregardingthenewcreation:
Isa66:22Forasthenewheavensandthenewearth,whichIwillmake,shall
remainbeforeme,saiththeLORD,soshallyourseedandyournameremain.
Isa66:23Anditshallcometopass,thatfromonenewmoontoanother,and
fromonesabbathtoanother,shallallfleshcometoworshipbeforeme,saith
theLORD.
Isa66:24Andtheyshallgoforth,andlookuponthecarcasesofthementhat
havetransgressedagainstme:fortheirwormshallnotdie,neithershalltheir
firebequenchedandtheyshallbeanabhorringuntoallflesh.
Isaiahtellsusthatwiththecreationofthenewearth,therewillbetwotimeperiods
associatedwithworshippingtheLord.Thefirstisamonthlyperiod.Johntherevelator
tellsuswhatthisisallabout:
Rev22:2Inthemidstofthestreetofit,andoneithersideoftheriver,was
therethetreeoflife,whichbaretwelvemanneroffruits,andyieldedherfruit
everymonth:andtheleavesofthetreewereforthehealingofthenations.
Thetreeoflifewillproduceadifferentfruiteverymonth,andeatingthisnewfruitona
monthlybasisiswhatwillmaintaineternallife.Itwasthedenialofaccesstothetreeof
lifethatdoomedAdamandEvetoasuredeath:
Gen3:22AndtheLORDGodsaid,Behold,themanisbecomeasoneofus,
toknowgoodandevil:andnow,lestheputforthhishand,andtakealsoof
thetreeoflife,andeat,andliveforever:
Gen3:23ThereforetheLORDGodsenthimforthfromthegardenofEden,
totillthegroundfromwhencehewastaken.
Gen3:24Sohedroveoutthemanandheplacedattheeastofthegardenof
EdenCherubims,andaflamingswordwhichturnedeveryway,tokeepthe
wayofthetreeoflife.
Soonthenewearth,everymonthassetbythenewmoon,everyonewillgatherinthe
NewJerusalemtoeatfromthetreeoflifeandworshipGod.Thisishoweternallifewill
berestoredandmaintained.
Next,IsaiahsaysthatallhumanitywillassembletoworshipbeforetheLordfromone
Sabbathtoanother.ThereasonforobservingtheseventhdaySabbathisclearly
explained:
Exo20:8Rememberthesabbathday,tokeepitholy.
Exo20:9Sixdaysshaltthoulabour,anddoallthywork:
Exo20:10ButtheseventhdayisthesabbathoftheLORDthyGod:init
thoushaltnotdoanywork,thou,northyson,northydaughter,thy
manservant,northymaidservant,northycattle,northystrangerthatis
withinthygates:
Exo20:11ForinsixdaystheLORDmadeheavenandearth,thesea,andall
thatinthemis,andrestedtheseventhday:whereforetheLORDblessedthe
sabbathday,andhallowedit.

created.
TheseventhdaySabbathisthewaythatwebringhonorandglorytotheLordourcreator.
WearecommandedtorememberitbyrestingfromourlaborasJesusrestedfromhis
creativelaborsontheseventhday,itisamemorialtocreation.Well,wehaveseenthat
theLordhaspromisedthatHewillcreateanewheavenandnewearth.Thepatternfor
thiswehavealreadynoticedinscripture.SinceGodoriginallytooksixdaysforcreation,
andthenrestedtheseventhday,thisisexactlywhatcanbeexpectedforthenewcreation.
Aftercompletingtherestorationofheavenandearthtoastateofbeingverygoodinsix
days,JesuswillceaseHislaborandresttheSabbathday.
Therewillbeonemajordifferencebetweentheoriginalcreationandtherecreationofthe
newheavenandearth.AdamandEvedidnotwitnessanyofthefirstcreation,theyhadto
trustGodwhenHetoldthemHewasthecreator.Theyhadtoacceptthisbyfaith.The
creationofthenewheavenandearth,however,willbewitnessedbyallthesavedwho
willbeintheNewJerusalemonearthatthetime.Whataspectaculardemonstrationof
God'screativepowerthatwillbe!
Isa65:17For,behold,Icreatenewheavensandanewearth:andtheformer
shallnotberemembered,norcomeintomind.
Isa65:18ButbeyegladandrejoiceforeverinthatwhichIcreate:for,
behold,IcreateJerusalemarejoicing,andherpeopleajoy.
Soontheseventhdayofthenewcreation,onthatSabbathandthenext,fromweekto
weekintoeternity,allofhumanitywillrejoiceinworshippingJesustheCreator,asa
memorial,tohonorandglorifyHimintheNewJerusalem.Thisiswhytheseventhday
Sabbathisproclaimedtotheentireworldbeforethesecondcoming:
Rev14:6AndIsawanotherangelflyinthemidstofheaven,havingthe
everlastinggospeltopreachuntothemthatdwellontheearth,andtoevery
nation,andkindred,andtongue,andpeople,
Rev14:7Sayingwithaloudvoice,FearGod,andgiveglorytohimforthe
hourofhisjudgmentiscome:andworshiphimthatmadeheaven,andearth,
andthesea,andthefountainsofwaters.
Yousee,theSabbathwasandisaperpetualcovenant,andalwayswillbeasignbetween
GodandHispeople:
Exo31:16WhereforethechildrenofIsraelshallkeepthesabbath,toobserve
thesabbaththroughouttheirgenerations,foraperpetualcovenant.
Exo31:17ItisasignbetweenmeandthechildrenofIsraelforever:forin
sixdaystheLORDmadeheavenandearth,andontheseventhdayherested,
andwasrefreshed.
NotjusttoliteralIsrael,buttoeveryonewithfaith:
Gal3:29AndifyebeChrist's,thenareyeAbraham'sseed,andheirs
accordingtothepromise.
