I. THELASTINGREDIENT

Through this camp, you discovered why some are still unhappy even if they are
alreadyinYFC.Itisourhopethatyousawhowthecrucialareasinourlifeourself,our
friends,ourfamilyandourlovelifecanmakeorbreakusaspersons.

Peoplegothroughlifeblamingtheirparents,theirsituationandevenGodfortheir
unhappiness.Someevendieangryandfrustrated,neverseeinghowmuchtheLordgave
togivethemlifethattheyneverlived.

Godhasgivenusalltheingredientstoahappylife.Friends,family,thechanceto
fallinloveandmakelovestories andfairytalescomealive;theonlythinglackingfrom
thisrecipeisourchoice.

II. THECHOICE

WhenGodmademanandwoman,Hegavethemtherighttochoose.Adamand
Evemadetheirsandexperiencedpain.Likewise,wearegivenachoice.TheLordinvitesus
tolivelifetothefull.But,wehavetochooseit.Thechoicehasalwaysbeenthereforusto
makeandtheofferstandsforever.

WeweremadetobewithJesus.HecreatedusoutofloveandinHislove.Wewill
neverrest,nomatterwherewegoorwhatwedo,wewillalwaysbesearching,andwe
willalwaysbeemptyuntilwechoosetoliveinHislove.

HeretheListofchoicesyouhavetomakeinbecomingtheman/womanthatGod
createdyoutobe.

A. ChoosetobeHappy

Happiness is a choice. We can choose to be happy no matter what the

circumstances. We can choose to be happy amidst everything knowing that God is
holdingus.Wechoosetobehappywithourself,ourfamily,ourfriendsandthelovelife
thatGodhaspreparedforus.WecanchoosetoclaimthathappinessandallowGodto
complete our joy. Or we can choose to allow the circumstances take away our
happiness.

B. ChoosetoLove

We choose to love even when we are hurt. We choose to love even when we
werebetrayed.Wechoosetolovethepeoplewedonotlikeandwedonotunderstand.
We choose to love ourselves, our family, our friends and the person whom God
preparedforus.WeallowGodtoloveusandloveothersthewayhehaslovedus.No
circumstancecantakeawayGodsloveforus,thesamewaythatnocircumstancewill
takeawayourloveforHispeople.

C. ChoosetoForgive

Part of loving is forgiveness. We choose to forgive those who have caused us

pain whether consciously or unconsciously. We choose to forgive our self, our family,
ourfriendsandourboyfriendorgirlfriend.Nocircumstancecantakeawaythemercyof
theFather.Itisthesamechoiceforallofus.Wecaneitherchoosetocarrytheburden
andthebitternessinourlivesorwecanchoosethewayJesusdiditforgiveness.

D. ChoosetoGiveitAllforGod

Everydayweliveourlives,wewillgothroughsomanythings.Wewillcelebrate
alotofjoysanddealwithalotofproblems.EverydayisachanceforustoknowGod
and to give everything up to Him. Everything that we will do, we choose to give it to
Him.Everythingthatwewillexperience,wechoosetogiveittoHim. Wegiveto God
ourself,ourfamily,ourfriendsandourlovelife.

III. CONCLUSION

UnlesswearesurethatwearelovedbyagreatGodthatcannotstandseeingus
unhappy,aGodthatwillmoveheaveninearthforus,wecanneverhavethecourageto
makethesechoices.

Itisinour hands.WecanchoosetoeitherseewiththeFatherseyesorbelieve
justhowspecialweareandbefree,orwecanlistentotheworldandbecaptivetoitslies,
deceptionandillusions.

TheLorddiedtosetusfree.Donotletthatsacrificegotowaste.Thechainshave
beenbrokenandthegatesareunlocked.Allyouhavetodoistotakethechainsoff,open
thegatesandstepout.Justdoit.

ACTIVITY
1. After the reflection, have the participants and service team go to their respective
householdsandpraytogether.Exhortthemthatthesearethepeoplethatwillsupport
andprayforandwiththemastheymakethechoice.

2. Ask the Lord for the strength to live up to their decisions made during the Discovery
CampandtoaffirmtheircommitmenttosupporteachotherintheHousehold.
