Letter From the Exalted Ruler

Fellow Elks,
I am excited to let you all know that the Elks #2553 Annual Boat Poker Run is August 15th. Hands are $20 for 5 cards and $25 for 5 cards plus an extra card. There
will be pulled pork sandwiches a bag of chips and a drink available at the last stop
for $5. There will be 1 chance, per hand purchased, to win a YETI 20QT Roadie. 50%
of all proceeds will go to our United States Veterans and 1st, 2nd and 3rd places will
be paid out of the remaining 50%. Come on out and enjoy the fun and fellowship. We
still have a lot of stuff going on at the lodge. The walk-in cooler has gone out and we
are currently getting bids for the repair. The insurance has approved the roof and we
are just waiting on some clarification before we began. The parking lot is going to get
resurfaced when the weather cools down. I would like to encourage all members to
be involved in the lodge and promote membership. If you havent stopped by in
while, please do and check out the progress at your lodge. I wanted to thank all the
members that have helped, and are still helping, with the lodge renovations and other projects. I also wanted to thank Donny, Dale and Mike for their hard work and
dedication on Friday steak nights, you all do a great job and we know how much work
goes into it. I look forward to seeing you at the upcoming boat poker run and as always at the lodge.
