A blessing in disguise
It is a common practice to look down upon all those
facilities that are easily accessible. Last two decades have
made the mobile phone as accessible as anything. Despite of
the fact that a majority of us is unaware of the handy features
that our smart mobile phones offer, the only point of concern
is just to buy the latest-powered-with-music handset. The low Zubair Ahmed Kasuri Editor-in-Chief

Today's PDA is very small in size, fits

While components and specifications change

Nokia 1800
The Nokia 1800 is a solidly constructed phone with a modern twist. Simple in
style, the casing is curved and available in a choice of black, silver grey, orchid red
and ash blue. You can customise the look of your phone as the case can be
changed to one of the other colours.
The screen is a decent 1.8 inches and the keypad is large with a central chrome
navigation pad. Designed for easy use, all the keys are comfortable to press and
conveniently located. Looks wise, the Nokia 1800 is similar to the Nokia 1616.
Nokia 1800 has been designed for the smallest of budgets. Initially introduced in
emerging markets, the mobile phone is basic yet functional.
The phone comes with the Nokia Life Tools services pre-loaded. This application
was first launched on the Nokia 2323 Classic and Nokia 2330 Classic phones and
includes Agriculture, Education and Entertainment services. Based on where you
live and what you like, you can access career information, weather updates, gener-
al knowledge content, and entertainment news and daily horoscopes.
Other practical features of the Nokia 1800 include an inbuilt flashlight, calendar
and a speaking alarm clock. You can keep track of your friends too with space for
up to 500 contacts and 250 text messages. The SMS feature on the phone includes
speed dialling for sending quick texts, and picture messaging.
The Nokia 1800 phone has an FM radio for listening to your favourite stations on
the move. With a speakerphone and headset jack, you can choose to listen in pri-
vate or share your music.
Samsung M3310
Samsung B5722 dual-SIM handsets has a 2.8-inch QVGA touch-
screen phone with a D-pad like rectangular navigation key - proves
Samsung's obsession with different shaped keys. Joining the
DUOS family, the B5722 features quad-band GSM/EDGE support
but lacks 3G. Out of the two SIM card, first SIM can work on quad-
band GSM frequencies while the second one can work on dual-
band.
It is a touchscreen phone shaped like the Samsung B3410, but
with a differed navigation key and without a sliding QWERTY key-
board.
The B5722 features quad-band GSM/EDGE connectivity but it
has no 3G. Its first SIM card can operate on the 850 / 900 / 1800 /
1900 MHz frequencies, while the second one only on 900 / 1 800
MHz.
Samsung B5722 Duos is equipped with a 2.8-inch touchscreen
TFT display with a resolution of 320×240 pixels, the TouchWiz Lite
1.0 interface with support for widgets and integrated access to
Facebook and MySpace, Bluetooth, FM tuner, 3.2-megapixel cam-

As one of the most critically acclaimed shooters of all time, Call of Duty 4:
Modern Warfare is a prime example of a tough act to follow. Yet, amidst a raging
storm of anticipation and expectation, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has done it.
The new campaign is chock-full of intense action and dramatic moments, and
though it is more muddled than its predecessor (in more ways than one), it's still
an absolute blast. The new Special Ops mode allows you to experience some
campaign-inspired thrills with a friend and it's an engaging challenge to
coordinate your maneuvers and tackle the varied objectives. Last but not least, the
competitive multiplayer that took the online shooter community by storm two
years ago is back and better than ever. Though the addictive action remains the
same at its core, there are a host of new elements that make it more accessible,
more strategic, and more rewarding. This all adds up to a thoroughly excellent
package that is sure to thrill shooter fans and deprive them of sleep for months to
come.
Modern Warfare 2's campaign, like that of its predecessor, is quite short, and
you'll likely finish it in about five hours. However, it is disappointing that there
isn't more of it, what you do get is a relentless barrage of tight combat and thrilling
set pieces. In one early level, you man the turret of a Humvee patrolling the
claustrophobic streets of a Middle Eastern city. Enemies seem to be behind every
corner, but you are ordered not to fire until fired upon. The tension builds, and
once you are engaged by the enemy, all hell breaks loose. After a hectic (and
unsuccessful) flight from danger.
The sword in the stone, the lady in the lake, and the knights of the round table
are all present and accounted for in King Arthur: The Role-playing Wargame. But,
this mix of role-playing, real-time strategy, and turn-based grand strategizing
doesn't quite work out as smoothly as the infamous accident that resulted in Mr.
Reese's blending of peanut butter with chocolate. Hungarian developer NeoCore
Games has created a compelling epic here that delves deep into Arthurian legend
and builds a strong fantasy role-playing atmosphere but at the expense of some of
the strategy. So even while you can easily get hooked on guiding King Arthur to
the throne of Britain by vanquishing enemy monarchs and negotiating with
watery tarts throwing swords at you, taking armies into battle is more
problematic because of balance issues and grueling difficulty in the campaign.
While the overall game is well worth playing because of the outstanding
development of the Arthurian theme and some innovations on both the role
playing and strategy sides of the fence, the flaws that mount up after a while will
leave you hoping for a patch. Battles themselves take place whenever two armies
clash on the map.
The Role-playing Wargame can hook you for a great many hours in its present
state, you can't escape the notion that the game could use a pretty comprehensive
patch. This is a great concept but only a good execution, which leaves the end
The Role-playing Wargame result sort of dissatisfying even while you find it hard to stop playing. Let's hope
that NeoCore Games keeps at it until the game is brought to its full potential.
