Dear Friend,
Greetings to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ from everyone here at the
church. The Lord is moving by His Spirit and it's exciting! We have heard testimonies
recently of people having miracles of healing and God answering prayer. One Christian
woman had a stroke a few weeks ago. She was paralyzed on one side, blind, and in very
serious condition. But the Lord saw fit to raise her up and just a few short days later she
was back at church praising God! She said one of the things that helped her was that
she kept remembering the testimony of another sister at church who had serious
physical ailments, who just would not give up her faith to these problems. She kept
trusting and believing God would intervene; and He did! This determination helped lift
the faith of the first woman. I cannot express how important it is to gather yourself to
the local church services. In this case, it was a matter of life and death. By hearing the
testimony of another Christian at church it enabled her to trust God in her hour of crisis.
In a recent Wednesday evening Bible study, we read the verse in Hebrews 3:1
that says, "...consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus."
We are told to fully observe Him, discover what He's all about, and look to Him for our
example. If you pray and ask the Lord to reveal Himself to you, you will discover Jesus
Christ in a deeper, more exciting way! We usually pray and ask the Lord to help our
children, family members, and even sometimes ourselves. Our prayer life seems to treat
the Lord as if He is Santa Claus or just a giver of hand-outs. But did you ever ask the
Lord to have a relationship with you? Did you ever ask Him to help you understand His
ways? Did you ever offer Him your heart? Or have you ever surrendered your will to
His will, as Jesus surrendered His will to the Father in the Garden of Gethsemane? Did
you ever pray, "Nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done?" (Luke 22:42). If you
dare to, it will completely transform your life!
Our Lord Jesus rose from the dead and because of the resurrection from the dead
we know the Bible is true and we have an assurance that even if heaven and earth pass
away, the words of Jesus will never pass away! We have a great assurance through the
resurrection from the dead that Jesus Christ actually "...is set on the right hand of the
throne of the Majesty in the heavens" (Hebrews 8:1). This phrase is interesting
because it literally speaks of "the greatness of divinity." Yet Jesus never neglected His
heart of a servant. He came to minister, not to be ministered to. The covenant He

brought to humanity is more noble, much stronger, and over all has better promises than
the first covenant. It is based on the power of an endless life, not a carnal
commandment. So there's life in serving the Lord! You can have a peace that passes all
understanding. You can be strengthened through the power of the Spirit. And yes, the
Lord Jesus Christ loves you! He offers to all of us entrance into the very presence of the
Father, for that was committed to Him. He died to remove all of our sins and the stains
of guilt we carry. He purifies our hearts and minds. He still heals the broken-hearted
and sets at liberty those who are bruised. Everyone who comes to Him by faith will
experience more love and mercy than they ever have in their lives!
Recently, a young Christian woman ministered at church about Jesus Christ being
the truth. She said facts change as time goes on, opinions evolve as more understanding
is gained by us, but truth is truth: it never changes but is absolute. One plus one always
equals two. That will never change; it is absolute. The words of Jesus Christ likewise
will never change! You can depend on every word of God. He takes the wondering and
doubt out of the equation! He said if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and
believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. It sounds
like the Bible does not leave us to any doubts about that! Because this is truth, I believe
it now, but more importantly when I face eternity these words will still ring true.
You may ask how I know Jesus rose from the dead. I know because when I asked
the Lord to forgive me of my sins, He did! When I asked Him to cleanse me from every
stain of guilt and condemnation, He did! If He did not rise from the dead He couldn't
have answered those prayers. But He actually answered those prayers of mine and I
have served Him ever since. I can tell you that if you will confess with your mouth the
Lord Jesus (this means you are willing to make a covenant with Him), and believe in
your heart God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. He will make you whole
and complete. He will continue to perfect you and prepare you for heaven. I do believe
He has prepared mansions for us. I do believe the streets of that city are paved with
pure gold. And I do believe that we shall finally see Jesus: the One who died on the
cross for our sins, who was wounded for our transgressions and bruised for our
iniquities, who took our torments to give us peace, and by whose stripes we are healed.
Yes, He shall reveal to the believer the abundance of peace!
I invite you to our church services. We meet at 624 Torringford West Street in
Torrington, CT. Our schedule of services is Sunday at 10 AM and 7 PM and Wednesday
at 7:30 PM. May God bless you "more abundantly!" is my prayer.
Sincerely,

Rev. Daniel Bossidy
