Issue 03 (2007-10-15)
When you add an E1 port to the WEPI in slot 0, the system adds an E1 port
to the WEPI in slot 1 automatically. That is, the system regards the WEPI
in slot 1 as the standby board of the WEPI in slot 0 by default.
E1 port configuration must be consistent with that of the peer end. In this
example, the frame format of the E1 port is the dual-frame format; the
balance mode of the E1 port is the 75-ohm (the E1 port is connected with a
75-ohm coaxial cable.)

They define the the number of the MSC and that of the VLR for the
MSOFTX3000 in the PLMN when the MSOFTX3000 works as the visited
mobile switching center (VMSC) or gateway mobile switching center
(GMSC). In this example, because the VLR is embedded in the
MSOFTX3000 (MSC), the number of the MSC and that of the VLR can be
configured with the same number.

The local office needs to interwork with network elements both on the core

subsystems on the MSOFTX3000 side, such as SCMG, MSC, VLR, MAP,
HLR, GS, SGSN, GMLC, BSSAP, INAP, and RANAP.

When a subscriber is called, the MSC gets the roaming number from the
HLR to which the subscriber belongs. After the MSC obtains the roaming
number, the HLR sends an SRI_RSP message to the MSC. The MSC GT
address information is contained in the called address of the SRI_RSP
message, and the MSC needs to check whether the MSC GT address is the
local one. If so, the MSC starts paging.
Only when the GT maps to the GT group, the SCCP can obtain the
corresponding translation result.

In this example, it is required to meet the following requirements by configuring data on the
MSOFTX3000 side:
z
Two MTP links are set up between the MSOFTX3000 and the STP.
Normal SCCP connection is set up between the MSOFTX3000 and the STP.

2.11.2 Script
Perform the following steps with scripts:
Add an MTP DSP. Set DSP name to STP-1 that indicates the STP switch.
Script
Note
For the STP with STP-1 as the DSP name, set STP flag in the command to
True, and Adjacent flag to True.
Add an MTP linkset. Set Linkset name of MTP to STP-1 and Adjacent
DSP name to STP-1.

Note
The MSOFTX3000 is connected to the STP switch through the MTP links,
so you must set Link type in the command to TDM 64kbit/s.

Add an SCCP DSP. Set DSP name to STP-1 and DPC to BB0003.
Script
Note
DSP name in this command is different from that defined in the ADD
N7DSP command. There is no referencing or referenced relationship
between them.
When the local office uses multiple SPCs, you need to configure OPC
according to actual signaling networking.

As shown in Figure 2-13, the MSOFTX3000 connects to the SCP through the MTP links. The
CAP messages are transmitted between the MSOFTX3000 and the SCP through the SS7
signaling.
The structure of the protocol stack is CAP/TCAP/SCCP/MTP on both the MSOFTX3000 side
and the SCP side.
For the MSOFTX3000 to interwork with the SCP, you must configure the following data on the
MSOFTX3000 side:

2.12.2 Script
Adding MTP Signaling Data
Perform the following steps with scripts:
Step 1 Add an MTP DSP.
Description
Add an MTP DSP. Set DSP name to SCP-1 that indicates the SCP switch.
Script
Note
The MOSFTX3000 connects to the SCP in the direct connection mode, so,
for the SCP with SCP-1 as the DSP name, set STP flag in the command to
Fault, and Adjacent flag to True.
Add an MTP linkset. Set Linkset name of MTP to SCP-1 and Adjacent
DSP name to SCP-1.

Description
Add an SCCP DSP. Set DSP name to SCP-1 and DPC to 110912.

For the SCP, you must configure two SSN codes: CAP and SCMG.
Add an SCCP global title: configure the GT translation data for the
addressing from the MSOFTX3000 to the SCP.

Only when the GT maps to the GT group, the SCCP can obtain the
corresponding translation result.
