ATTACHMENT 8.

Preliminary Preparation (done by Operation Technician)


1) Ensure that the special requirements are fulfilled. The special requirement
include :

Mandatory PPE requirement


Identify the hazards such as toxic liquid, pressurised fluid, loud noise, and
hydrocarbon release
The common handtools use for the work
The walkie talkie are functioning with clear
Ensure the communication with SOR is established

2) Ensure the MSDS is in place for reference.


3) Ensure that vendor recommendation report for injection is in place for reference.
4) Confirm with SOR that the task is ready to be carried out.

Preparation of Demulsifier Injection System ( done by Operation Technician)


1) Ensure and verify this following valves are lines up as this requirement :

2) Check that the storage tank T-1/T-2 contains adequate supply of demulsifier and
refill as necessary.
3) Ensure that ulitility gas system is in normal operating mode and that utility gas
supply is available to pump.
4) Check that the pumps are calibrated for the required injection rate.

Demulsifier injection system operation procedure (done by Operation Technician)


1) Open the IG 1001/IG 1002 utility gas supply valve to the pump.
2) Monitor the performance of the pump to see any abnormal condition that may
occur. If the condition is normal, skip step 3,4, and 5.
3) Adjust the injection rate if required by opening CI 1009 inlet valve to the
calibration gauge. Fill the calibration gauge.
4) When the calibtaion gauge is full, close the discharge CI 1008 header valve.
5) After the adjustment, open suction CI 1008 header valve and close CI 1009
calibration gauge valve as required.
6) Regularly check the level in the demulsifier storage tanks and replenish as
necessary.

Preparation of biocide injection system (done by Operation Technician)


1) Ensure biocide storage tank level is sufficient by monitoring the level gauge.
Replenish as necessary.
2) Ensure biocide pump in good condition.

Biocide Injection system operation procedure (done by Operation Technician)


1) Open the biocide storage tank outlet to the pump.
2) Open the pump suction and discharge valve.
3) Open the isolation valves provided on the fitting located at the injection point.

4) Open the gas supply valve to the pump to start the duty pump.
5) Slowly increase the stroke by adjusting the speed controller and observe the
pump discharge pressure according to the rate required.
6) Stop the pump by closing the gas supply valve upon completing the injection of
the target amount.
7) Close the pump suction and discharge valve and biocide storage tank outlet
valve to the pump.
8) Confirm with SOR upon completing of biocide injection activity.
9) Perform housekeeping and keep record of the actities in log book.

Preparation for CI injection system (done by Operation Technician)


1) Check the CI level in the storage tank at correct operating level between 10%
and 80% on daily basis. Replenish as necessary.
2) Ensure CI pump in good condition.
3) Ensure that utility gas supply is available to pump.

Open the CI storage tank outlet to the pump.


Open the pump suction and discharge valve.
Open the isolation valve provided on the fitting located at the injection point.
Open the main gas supply valve to the pump to start the duty pump.
Slowly increase the stroke by adjusting the speed controller and observe the
pump discharge pressure according to rate required.
6) Perform housekeeping and keep the record of the activities in log book.
