Call for Papers


International Review of Human Rights
Law
The International Review of Human Rights Law is an effort to address human rights issues
around the world. It provides a platform to practitioners, academicians and students for
discussing, critically examining and providing solutions to the human rights issues. The journal
encourages comparative, empirical and inter-disciplinary analysis. The journal publishes original
scholarly works. The works can be in the forms of articles, case notes, book reviews and
responses. The journal is online, open-access and edited by students. The journal invites
submissions for its inaugural issue. The submission guidelines and review process are mentioned
below. Last date of Submission is 5 September 2015.
IRHRL Submission Guidelines:
1. Submissions have to be made only via email. Please send the manuscript to
managingeditor.irhrl@gmail.com.
2. Use Times New Roman as font theme, Font Size - 12, Line Spacing 1.5. For footnotes use
Times New Roman as font theme and 10 as font size.
3. The submissions can be in the forms of Articles, Case Notes, Book Reviews and Responses to
scholarly works published in law reviews or books.
4. Length of Submissions (inclusive of footnotes):
Article 6000 10000 words
Case Note 2500 3000 words
Book Review 2000 3500 words
Response 3500 4000 words
Please provide keywords in submissions. Submissions must contain an abstract of 150 - 300
words in total. Submissions must be accompanied by a covering letter containing academic
qualifications of the author/authors. Authorship of papers is limited to two authors. Name of the
author/authors must not be provided in submissions. The journal accepts Bluebook 19th edition,
OSCOLA 4th edition and the citation style formulated by the journal. Submissions should be
made in MS Word format (.doc).
5. Submissions must not infringe the copyright or any other rights of any third parties. Submissions
must not contain any obscene, offensive, defamatory or racially prejudiced materials.
Author/authors will indemnify the journal in case of any infringement.

IRHRL Review Process:


Author/authors will be informed within 15 days from the date of submission, regarding the
Editorial Boards decision to accept the submission for review process or not. The review
process will be rigorous and the journal expects author/authors to be available during the review
process. The Editorial Board will review submissions carefully on the criterion of scope, content,
structure, research, analysis, creativity, accomplishment of the papers purpose and inclusion of
counter - argument in submissions. Submissions will be rejected if they are plagiarized. All the
communications have to be through email only.
