Aug. 10, Mon.- Ministry Team meeting at 6 p.m. and the Board of Elders at 7
p.m. Thanks for your prayers for these meetings. If you have questions,
encouragement, suggestions, etc. for our church, please share them with the
ministry team. Your input is welcomed.

Aug 15 & 16, Sat. & Sun.- The JAARS Missions at the Airport team will represent
JAARS at the Mission Aviation Fair at Smoketown, PA. JAARS will offer airplane
and helicopter rides and a display of the JAARS ministry. Sat. from 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
and Sun. 1 p.m.-6 p.m.
Aug. 19, Wed.-Bowmansville District Sewing Circle will meet in the basement of
the Bowmansville Mennonite Church in the morning and afternoon. Everyone is
welcome to help with comfort knotting, quilting, or sewing on a sewing machine.
Bring your lunch if you can stay for the day!
Sept. 18 & 19, Fri. & Sat.- Randy and Josiah Sauder are biking in the BR2RB to
benefit Black Rock Retreat. If anyone is interested in sponsoring them, please
complete the form in your mailbox and return it to them by the end of August.
-Thanks to many of you for your support and participation in Mennonite World
Conference. It was good to hear our guests share last Sunday at Woodcrest. Some
have shared a written response of their experiences, which are posted on the bulletin
board. Thank you, Jesus, for you "...have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of
every tribe and tongue and people and nation, ..." Revelation 5:9
-On July 17, 2015, the bishop board of the Lancaster Mennonite Conference,
including the conference executive council, unanimously approved a proposal that
Lancaster Mennonite Conference withdraw as an area conference of Mennonite
Church USA. There will be opportunity for LMC members to speak into this
proposal at eight regional meetings, the closest of which is September 8 at Garden
Spot Village. A letter from LMC moderator Keith Weaver, and a summary from
Bishop Carl Sensenig are posted on the bulletin board.
-MCC is collecting School Kits for distribution around the world to children
whose lives have been disrupted by war or natural disasters. Pick up a cloth bag in
the foyer and fill it with the following new items:4 spiral or perforated notebooks (8
1/2 x10 1/2,70 sheets), 1 ruler (flat, flexible plastic, indicating centimeters and
inches), 12 colored pencils in packaging, 8 unsharpened pencils, Erasers will be
provided by Sewing Circle. Filled bags can be returned to the church and Sewing
Circle will see they are taken to MCC. Thank you!
