AMENDING AN APPLICATION
If you find that you need to amend an application that you have
previously submitted, this is possible using the Amend function.
To do this, please login to the Planning Portal and go to 'My Applications'.
On this page you will see a list of your proposals. Click on the proposal
that you wish to amend.
On the Overview tab, you will find the Status of your application, which
will either say Submitted or Transferred with Amend alongside it.

If status is showing Submitted, when you click on Amend you will


receive the message below as the LPA has not downloaded your
application yet. Click on Next and you will be able to make the necessary
amendments and re-submit.

Amending a Transferred status application


This function is designed for instances where the receiving authority is in
the process of validating your application and may request the applicant
to amend a drawing, supporting document, or details in the application
form.
Note: if the application status is Transferred, the receiving authority will
have already started work on validating this version of the application.
PLEASE ENSURE YOU OBTAIN PERMISSION FROM THE RECEIVING
AUTHORITY BEFORE AMENDING AND RESUBMITTING A
TRANSFERRED APPLICATION.
If the status is showing Transferred, when you click on Amend you will
be asked to select one of two options:

If you just need to add a new or updated document or remove a


document, you should select the first option Changes to the supporting
documentation ONLY and click Next.
If your application is of 'transferred' status, before making your changes
to the documentation please use the 'Document Comments' field to
describe what you have changed. This will help the receiving authority to
clearly understand what you have changed:
e.g. Replaced Side elevation proposed - drawing number 11111
with Side Elevation proposed drawing number 22222
If you need to make changes to the application forms as well, you should
select the second option Changes to the forms and documentation and
click Next.

On clicking Next with either option, you will enter the Overview of the
proposal and the relevant sections will be Open for Edit depending on
which choice you made. Once you have made the changes, you will need
to click on the Check tab and then Submit to re-submit your application.
The LPA will then receive a notification that changes have been made to
your proposal and they will be able to begin processing the amended
application.
Transferred applications that are amended with changes to
application forms, will be suffixed by _v2. E.g. PP-0006789_v2.
