3) Summary of the story
a) The Story take place in the future, May 17, 2157 , To be exact. Roughly 200
years after the story has been published. Its told the story about two
children, Maggie and Tommy (Little Sister and Big Brother) found a book
about school in (Assumedly) 20th century. The future seem eerily familiar to
us. First Tommy and Maggie talk how about the wildly inefficient the book
compared to their telescreen eBook (Remind us of the Kindle and iPads).
About how Awfully funny to read words that stood still instead of moving the
way they were supposed to-on a screen. They are fascinated about the
concept of our school compared to theirs. The 22 nd century school was located
in everyone home (Unlike our concept of today school). Where your
classmate Is your family. And where the teacher is a mechanical computer
who takes homework is some sort of slot. They fascinated to the times where
the teacher is actually human. And someone could be as smart as the
Teacher. When Maggie finally comes to his Class. She dreams of the old
century school with Friend all over the neighborhood, playing together and
the fact about all children learn the same thing so they could help each other.
(The 22nd century curriculum are all personalized for the children need)
4) Reading Response
a) If you were the author, what do you want to change from the stories? Why?
i) The Story date. The author failed to account the rapid pace of
technological development in the late 20st century.
b) What are quotes or sentences that do you like in the story? Explain it?
i) Margie was thinking about how the kids must have loved it in the old
days. She was thinking about the fun they had.

ii) Ironic statement. Most of the children today yearn for the school described
by Asimov
c) Do you find any similarity of differences in social custom or belief compared
to yours?
i) I find how the telescreen technological and personalized curriculum
somewhat familiar with our today world.
5) Reflection
a) Last generation will always had it better, according to the preceding
generation. It seem eerily familiar to today people that dream of the glorious
old past. When everybody is somewhat happier and freed from the tyranny of
modern day working and stress. Asimov also somewhat able to predict future
technologies in somewhat accurately.
