World Leader Research Project - Essay Rubric – World History Pre-AP - Mr.

Each aspect of the essay is graded on a scale. The highest score in the range means that the student was complete and had a
total command over the area graded. Zero means that the aspect was missing or completely wrong. Totals in between denote amount of
success in the category. Sixty points of the project was the product (poster, video, power point, dramatic portrayal 30) and presentation
(20). The essay is worth fifty points. The total grade on the project is at the bottom.

ESSAY PROMPT: Explain and describe the impact and importance of the leader you have chosen. Also
explain your person’s leadership ability by comparing him to the article by Campbell about “Characteristics
of a Leader.” Analyze your assertions. Prove your thesis by documenting sources in MLA format. You must
use at least two of Campbell’s characteristics.
