Presents a Warhammer 40k Tournament:

The Eternal War.


The Phoenix sector is a distant key sector of the Imperium that has fallen
into Chaos. The Imperial forces seek to defend the sector from falling into
hostile hands, the imperial guard, the Space marines and all the other
forces are brought to bear to repel the advance of the dark forces of
Chaos, rampaging forces of Orc warlords the mysterious Elder and their
dark cousins the ever hungry great devourer and the rise of the Necron
lords from the long from their long forgotten tombs as well as other
heretical and xenos threats.
When: Saturday 13th September 2014 Please arrive by 8.45am to
register, first game is at 9.15am.
Where: The Rushden Scout Hall, Brookes Close, behind Orbit tyres which
is on Skinners hill, Rushden. Phoenix Gaming Location and Parking Google Maps
Parking: Follow the link to a Google map with the location of the Phoenix
gaming club and the two nearest free car parks marked.
Free parking is available between Duck street and John street please note
there is limited parking outside the Scout Hall, organisers and volunteers
will be using it on the day therefore please Do Not park there on the day.
Cost: 13 per person 14 if paying via PayPal or pay Stephen Mawson via
cash or cheque on a club night (Tuesdays), Cheques should be made

Army construction.
Each army must be no more than 1500 points total and conform to the
standard force organisation chart in the main 40k rulebook. This may
include an allied detachment in accordance with the allies rules in the
main rulebook, and a single Aegis defence line consisting of no more
than 4 long and 4 short sections and may include one of the options, Non
imperial forces may have an equivalent defensive line with suitable
options and will have the same stats as in the main rulebook. A single
special character may be included in there force. Only codexs for the
main armies will be allowed supplement codexs such as the farsight
enclaves are not permitted nor are supplement rulebooks such as Death
from the skies also no units or formations from Apocalypse such
as super heavies may be used. The armies general may select a
warlord trait from either there codex or the table in the main rulebook and
keep it for the tournament duration, special characters that have a trait
must have the one they have in their codex all traits must be detailed on
the players army roster sheet.
Permitted Codexs.
Black Templars, Blood Angels, Chaos Demons, Chaos Space Marines, Dark
Angels, Dark Eldar, Eldar, Grey Knights, Imperial Guard, Necrons, Orks,
Sisters of Battle, Space Marines, Space Wolves, Tau, and Tyrannids.
All current codexs must be used any new codex released 30 days prior to
the date off the event will Not be permitted. All players must provide a
copy of their force for checking 30 days prior to the event, entrants who
submit their roster on time will receive 1 tournament point to put towards
their total.

What do you need to bring with you?


All entrants need to bring a copy of the main Warhammer 40k rulebook a
copy of their armys codex along with up to date f.a.q.s for the main
rulebook and codex, dice, tape measure, templates, 2 copies of their
roster (one for the organisers reference) which must be handed in on
arrival and your miniatures.
The Army.
We at the Phoenix encourage good painting and conversions on your army
so with that in mind all models should be WISIWYG any minor exception
such as a piece of relevant war gear all should be made aware to your
opponent in all games before the game begins with all this in mind their
will be an award for the best army at the event.
Scoring.
After each game record the score as follows:
WIN=3 TPS DRAW=2 TPS LOSS=1TP
Game result VPs scored for and against
Your Sportsmanship marks
Sportsmanship.
In our hobby sportsmanship is very important and we all like to see it so at
the end of your game we would like you to let us know what your
opponent was like to play against on the scale below the player with the
highest score at the end of the event will win the sportsmanship award:
A Legend= 3 points.
A worthy opponent= 2 points.
Good Gamer= 1 point.
Nightmare=0 points.

If there are any rules issues in a game most can be resolved amicably by
rolling a dice but should you feel the need to get a impartial ruling please
speak to one of the event referees these are Darrell Lee, Stephen
Mawson,

The Overall Winner: The Lord of War Award.
The Runner up Award: The Aspiring Champion Award.
The Sportsmanship Award: The Honoured Brother Award.
The Best Army Award: The Artificer Award.
The Last Place Award: The Body Bag Award.
This is the first Warhammer 40k tournament the Phoenix Gaming Club has
run and we hope you will come along and enjoy the event and have a
great time.
There are 24 places available reserves will be taken once these
have gone, once your payment has been cleared we shall add you to the
paid list places are on the basis of first come first serve.
When paying and registering please provide the following:
Your name and contact details preferably an email address (just in case
we need to contact you).
The army you are using
The name of the club you are from (if any).
