project at Chemistry Department, NIT Nagaland, Chumukedima; Dimapur

Applications are invited from highly motivated candidate for the position of Junior
Research Fellow (JRF) in the Indo Russian collaboration research project as detailed
below. The research project is funded by DST, Government of India, under the supervision
of Dr. Amrit Puzari, Principal investigator, Chemistry department, NIT Nagaland.
Title of the Research Project: Design and Synthesis of Scaffolds based on
Oxazolidinones and 3-Aminopyridine 2(1H) ones for Peptidomimetics, using
preferably Green Synthetic Methodology
Name of the position available: Junior Research Fellow
Number of positions available: One
Essential qualifications: M. Sc. In Chemistry (Organic Chemistry). NET/GATE qualified
candidates will be given preference.
Age limit: Must not be over 28 years as on August 24, 2015 which is relaxed up to 5 years
for SC/ST/PH/OBC candidates.
Salary: Rs. 25,000/- per month + 10% HRA
General Terms and Condition: The position is purely temporary and renewable each year
subject to satisfactory performance for a maximum of two years. The position is
coterminous with the project. Selected candidate may apply for registration into regular
PhD program provided he/she satisfy the eligibility criteria for PhD program in Chemistry
department of NIT Nagaland.
