INTRODUCTION
The teaching of a language as a human English translator to people is very
important because they may learn about new cultures, travel around the
world, and get a better job. In this case for a group of women, so they can
have the opportunity to help their children to do the homework and motivate
them with games for facilitate their learning.

PEOPLE AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

This Housewives Program of the Municupality of Curico helps to the entrepreneurs


women to corry out their oun proyects.

Maria Paz Vargas: she was the head of the program.

The work environment was quiet the first classes, women were willing to learn, and
that gave me encouragement to continue with those classes.

OBJECTIVES
1 To teach the students how to introduce themselves in English
language, and how to start a conversation with two people or more.
2 To help the students in the pronunciation of the hardest words, with
the object of having confidence to speak with the audience
3 To teach the students how to do request in places with presence of
foreign such as Hotels, Restaurants, and Resorts etc.
4 To teach to the students the different techniques of translation so they
may practice with their children and they may become better in
English language.

MY WORK

When I was given classes for a group of women of Housewives Program of the
Municipality of Curico I had to do different things:

- In the first classes, with my partner we give an introduction to the students,


and a basic diagnostic test to measure their knowledge.
This basic test is based in contents of basic level such as pronouns and verb
to be and all the tenses applied to this verb.
-Also we studied the numbers from 1 to 100, the alphabet. We start to teach
the basic words as articles, pronunciation and prepositions of place, and the
exercise the phonetic.
- We also teach vocabulary, adjectives, and the basic tenses for the to learn
how to speak correctly. They learn how to say what they do on the daily
routines.
- Every two classes we make a check progress to know how much they had
learn, this check progress was helpful for us to know if we have done a good
or a bad job.

PERSONAL ANECDOTES

I started my practice on June 4th, 2014. The first day Maria Paz, present us, Matias
my partner and I, to the group of women that we will be working. That day went
around 10 women and it was a really nice class, because they were all willing to
learn and was very easy to carry, so to be my first time teaching was not difficult for
me at all.
With Matias, my partner at work, we get along well, and we had a different way of
teaching, but we complemented each well and together we could do the class very
well, it became much easier for me because if something was missing to me he
supplemented and vice versa.
With the days the number of women who began attending classes was decaying, in
the last classes were attend only 3 women, but they wanted to learn, so it was easy
to teach them, were some of them who knew a bit and it was easier to teach them,
there were also women who do not know much at first, but over classes began they
learn at least say hello and goodbye and the most important thing was that they
could help their children with their homework, because the order of this workshop
was that women could have a basic knowledge in order to help their children.
We had three hours of classes and after 1 hour 30 minutes we made a coffee break,
there we took some time to know us better and find out what it was they needed to
help their children at home and so we taught them something that would be useful
for them.

DIFFICULTIES

One of the most difficult things that I faced during my practice was trying to be so
clear at the moment of explain, because that was my first time in front of a class
and explain or teach from my own knowledge, I was afraid that they did not
understand my way to teach and they had not learn as I propose myself before my
practice start.
Another of the difficult things was, that we went very slow in the contents that had
to teach, because women stopped attending, in several classes were only two
women and had to do the class anyway, but to the next class came other women,
other than had come the previous class, then we had to go back and explain all over
again, so for that reason we delayed classes, so we could not complete the planning
previously prepared at the start of classes.

Conclusion

While I was on my practice I learned a lot of thing and it was a very good
experience. I also learned that one of the things that I want to do the most is
teaching, and is a very difficult task, but I think that a can do it if a propose to
myself to do it, I really like to teach to those women, so I think that this was the
perfect practice that I could done.
Is difficult to teach with someone else because we have different ways of
explaining, the idea was that the women learn on the simpliest way, but I think we
did well, despite the low attendance, my practice was on of the best experience that
I ever had and I learned a lot for what I want to follow for my future.
