Water quality challenges to health

According to National Water Quality Laboratory, It is estimated that around 40% of all reported
diseases in Pakistan are attributed to poor water quality. As one indicator of the magnitude of the
problem, it is estimated that 250,000 children in Pakistan die every year due to diarrheal diseases
alone. Pakistans ranking in maintaining water quality standards is 80th out of 122 nations.
WHO reports that 25-30 per cent of all hospital admissions are connected to water-borne bacterial
and parasitic conditions, with 60 per cent of infant deaths caused by water infections. Several
epidemics in Pakistan in recent years can be traced back to water contamination, including
outbreaks of (potentially fatal) hepatitis E, rotavirus diarrhea, typhoid and dysentery.
According to, Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources (PCRWR), a unit of the Ministry
of Science and Technology, the results of the drinking water quality monitoring of 23 major cities
revealed that water resources of Pakistan are facing four major water quality issues:
bacteriological contamination (27-100 per cent); infiltrations of arsenic (0-100 per cent); nitrate
(0-54 per cent); and fluoride (0-55 per cent). The water samples collected from 23 surface water
bodies were all bacteriologically contaminated and showed higher values of turbidity, total
dissolved solids (TDS), nitrates and lead.
Who we are

brought to surface from a depth of 500 feet through turbine. It is then processed in a fully
automatic and micro- processor controlled facility imported from USA, Italy and China. Water is
treated, filtered, sanitized and disinfected without human contact according to the standards set by
Pakistan Standards Quality Control Authority (PSQCA). Food grade stainless steel (304 & 316) is
used throughout the facility. Following is the complete process of treating the water.

is fulfilled through the water consumed thus avoiding the anaerobic process which leads to
production of lactic acid, secondly the use of oxygenated water prevents cancers because
oxygenated body cells are less prone towards cancers as compared to body cells that lack oxygen
which are weak and easy prey for cancers, lastly oxygen in the body promotes the replication of
good bacteria in the body hence less chances of survival of pathogens in the body avoiding
bacterial and viral infections.

Fully automatic micro-processor controlled fillers with no-touch technique are used for washing,
drying, filling and capping and sealing of bottles with a conveyor belt system.
Quality Assurance
Besides regular testing of water within the facility, the quality is also monitored by a third party
contractor Nviropak, Engineers and Consultants (http://www.nviropak.com/) which evaluates the
water on over 22 parameters. Further, regular samples are taken and test by National Water Quality
Laboratory established at PCRWR H-8 Islamabad under Ministry of Science and Technology.
Delivery
Bottles are delivered at your doorstep through pool of delivery vans. Currently these operations
are taking place for Islamabad and Rawalpindi only.
