About
The series is about COG, a small two foot high alien android with an energetic
attitude and his new thirteen year old earth friends Derek, Jimmy and Juan. COG
crash lands on earth and befriends Derek and his two friends in the forest outside of
town. COG reveals that he was sent to earth to help fight off alien invaders and hes
going to need the kids help to do it. In each episode COG and kids become involved
in new adventures fighting off aliens, creating new inventions, and exploring life as
a teenager.

Chapter 1 | COG
A fire pit encircled with large rocks, stacked high with wood, flames
shooting up into the night sky. Thirteen year old Derek, Jimmy, and Juan, sit
around a campfire on small folding chairs and hold sticks with marsh
mellows stuck on the ends. They roast them over the open fire. Theyre all
alone in the forest, it is dark, and the stars above shine brightly. Derek
throws a handful of yellow powder into the fire and a small puff of yellow
smoke rises upward.
Derek, you believe in ghosts? Jimmy asks.
Maybe, Derek replies.
How about monsters?
Derek pauses for a second.
Yeah, my older sister's one.
The kids all laugh.
Ha, ha, ha, funny, Jimmy says.
Juan chimes in.
Yeah, how about aliens? Monsters from outer space?
Derek leans closer to the fire and warms his hands.
Aliens yeah! We're probably not alone, he replies.
Again, Juan requests.

Yeah! Yeah! Let me! Let me do it! Jimmy asks.

Juan stands near Jimmy.
Go for it Jimmy! he cheers.
The kids start to step back from the fire. Derek gives Jimmy his approval and
holds the jar filled with yellow powder in front of him.
Okay! Not too much though! Derek says.
Jimmy grabs a large handful of powder from the jar and throws it in the fire.
It flashes and excess powder covers Jimmys face and clothes. Flames from
the fire shoot up into the sky as they react to the yellow powder. Juan and
Derek move back from Jimmy and laugh at his mistake.
Jimmy realizes he used way too much powder. Hes covered from head to
toe with yellow dust.
Ha, ha, ha, too much Derek? he asks.
Juan falls to the ground grabbing at his side as he explodes in a fit of
laughter.
Ha, ha, ha, unbelievable Jimmy!
Derek smiles as he shakes his head.
I told you, he says.
Juan asks, What is that stuff?
Derek holds the jar up in the air so the guys can see it.
Little magic dust I mixed up in my lab, he says.
The kids stare at the flames as the yellow smoke continues to rise high
above in the sky. On the horizon they see an object entering the earths
atmosphere. Its a small silver sphere with flames trailing from the rear.

Are you guys seeing that? Juan asks.

Yeah... Derek and Jimmy reply in unison.
What is it? Jimmy questions.
It looks like a meteor, Derek replies.
The object crashes nearby and a loud booming noise is heard. The ground
shakes from the impact as a cloud of dust billows upward.
Derek looks at the guys.
Let's check it out! he suggests.
Don't think so, Juan shouts.
Yeah! I agree with Juan. Bad idea Derek.
Derek turns towards the crash site.
Okay, you two stay here, but I ain't sharing whatever I find. Meteors can be
worth a lot of money, Derek tells them.
Money! Oh let's go then! Jimmy and Juan holler.
The guys look out over the forest trees and see a bright light flashing in the
distance. Derek looks at Juan and Jimmy.
Come on! Let's go! Hurry up!

Chapter 2 | Discovery
Theres a large hole in the forest ground. A red glowing light is flashing
below a silver sphere stuck halfway into the hole. Derek leads his pals closer
to the sphere.
It's alien, Derek proclaims.
You mean like the movie? Juan asks.
Jimmy has the same thought.
You mean like there might be real aliens in there?
Yeah! I think it's some type of space ship, Derek answers.
Hey! It's not a meteor. We should leave it alone, Jimmy states.
Yeah, what if they haven't eaten in a while and we're on the menu? Juan
asks.
Don't be paranoid, Derek says.
As the kids approach the silver sphere it starts to glow and change colors.
From red to silver, red to blue, red to yellow, and keeps rotating colors.
Derek starts to reach out to touch the outside of the sphere.
No! Jimmy yells.
Don't! Juan shouts.
Derek touches it anyways.
Too late! he says.

Whooo, why did you do that? It's doing something, Juan asks.
Dereks touching of the sphere activated something. A small hatch on the
bottom starts to open and a two foot high small android falls out and lands
on his back.
Holy Racknoids, Derek shouts.
Jimmy steps back slightly.
What is it? he hollers.
Back up! Maybe it's dangerous! Juan warns.
A small android, COG, stands up straight and looks at the kids. Derek, Jimmy
and Juan's eyes all open wide in amazement at what theyre seeing. COG
brushes dirt off himself and stares back at them.
Zee, dee, dee, nap, tip, zee, dee, dee, COG says.
The kids lean over a little to look at the two foot high COG.
What's he saying? Jimmy asks.
COG repeats Jimmys words.
What's he saying? Tee, ding, ding, zammy, zoo, ping.
Juan questions COGs ability to speak their language.
I don't think he speaks English. Let me try Spanish. Hola (OH-lah).
COG tries to communicate and learn their language by repeating everything
thing they say.
"Hola. What's he saying? Un, un, zim, zim, zim.
COG reaches for a cellphone in Juans hand.

Oh, you want my phone. Here, Juan tells COG.

COG takes the cellphone from Juan's hand and communicates with it.
Images of language, the earth and its people flash on the screen.
Hey. I think the little guy is learning about our planet, Derek says.
COG looks up and the kids.
Yes. That's correct. Beep, beep, COG answers.
You speak English? Derek asks.
Now I do, beep, beep.
Derek looks surprised.
Wow! This little guy's smart.
Now what Derek? Jimmy asks.
Derek looks down at COG and then over at his friends.
We got to get him out of here. If grown-ups come, they'll take him away.
Let's go!
Derek picks COG up off the ground to carries him. Jimmy, Juan, and Derek
hike out of the woods and head for Dereks house. When they arrive at the
edge of town the guys all start to go separate ways. It was time to go home
for the night.
Goodnight guys, see you tomorrow, Derek says.
Yeah, see ya tomorrow, Juan and Jimmy say in unison.

Chapter 3 | Derek's LAB

The next morning, back at Dereks house, inside is his laboratory, they all
stand around a table with beakers, flasks, electronic equipment and other
scientific equipment. The room is every scientific minded kids dream lab.
Filled with equipment and half-done experiments. Jimmy asks Derek about
COG.
Where is he?
Recharging. As soon as we got home last night he headed straight for a wall
socket over there.
Juan and Jimmy walk over to COG. He is plugged into the wall charging and
looks up at them. COG greets them.
Good morning, zippp.
Juan turns towards Derek.
So where'd he come from? he asks.
Don't know yet. That's the first time he's talked since last night.
Jimmy asks Derek.
Do your parents know?
No. No way. We have to keep this a secret guys. Grown-ups will take him
the first chance they get.
Even your parents? Juan questions.
Probably not, but we need to keep quiet about this until we find out more
about him.

COG stands on the bench in front of the kids and starts walking around. He
touches items on the bench and examines each one. COG holds up a glass
flask in his hand.
What's this? What's it for?
A flask. It's for mixing chemicals, Derek answers.
COG moves on and picks up an old FM radio boom box. The back was left
open with wires hanging out.
What's this? What's it for?
It's an old radio I'm working on, Derek answers.
COG drops the radio and heads for a desktop computer on the bench.
What's this? What's it for?
That's a computer. We use it to communicate, store information, and
learn, Derek answers.
Good, I will learn, beep.
COG plugs his finger into the USB slot on the front of the computer.
What's he doing? Jimmy asks.
Derek has no idea.
I don't know, he says.
COG starts to shake a little as he remains plugged into the USB port. The
computer flashes images, smokes and starts melting. The computer gets
fried by COG as he downloads information from it too fast. The computer
pops, explodes and parts fly everywhere. The kids jump back.
Yikes. He just blew up your computer, Jimmy yells.

I am sorry. Beep, beep. I needed to find out about your world, COG
apologizes.
Juan tells COG.
You could just ask.
To slow. Beep, beep, ping, COG explains.
Derek's mom calls out for Derek from the kitchen.
Derek. Derek time for school.
Derek looks in the direction of the lab door.
Mom.
Derek you don't want to be late again!
Okay! I'm going!
Derek looks at the guys and COG.
You! You stay here in my lab. Don't make noise and don't break anything
else.
Yes, I understand, beep. Don't damage, beep, COG agrees.
Derek turns on the television.
Watch the TV. And don't plug into it. You can change the channels with
this.
Derek hands COG the remote control. COG holds it for a second and places
it on the table.
Hey. You're gonna need that to change the channels, Derek tells him.
COG looks at the TV and the channels start to change.

Zip, zip. I have learned the remote. No need for one.

Okay. Like I said no plugging in. Stay here and I'll see you after school,
Derek says.

Chapter 4 | School
Inside Dereks science class his favorite teacher Mr. Wu stands at the front
of the class. Derek, Juan and Jimmy all sit in different seats around the
room. Some of Dereks other school mates, Megan, Nicky, and Reggie are
also seated around the room.
Mr. Wu tells the class.
Okay class. Tomorrow we will talk about space and Wu's theory on bending
space.
Derek raises his hand.
Yes Derek, Wu asks.
Mr. Wu. Do you think there's alien life in outer space?
Well Derek. Our planet takes up about a grain of sand on the beach if you
liken our planet to the millions in the Universe. So if I had to guess. I'd say
we're not alone.
Jimmy continues his questioning.
So if there was life. And that life came here. What would happen? he asks.
Mass hysteria, rioting, looting, probably the end of the world, Wu
answers.
Really? Jimmy questions.
Everyone in the room laughs because they know Mr. Wu is joking. Jimmy
raises his hands in the air, acknowledging that he was given a silly answer by
Mr. Wu. He then looks at the other kids around the room. Student Reggie
chimes in and throws a waded piece of paper at Jimmy.

Jeez Jimmy, boo. What's your next question? Are the aliens going to eat
us? Reggie taunts.
More kids in the room laugh at Reggies tease.
Jimmy tries to calm the class.
Hey! I'm just asking, he says.
Mr. Wu takes control of the classroom.
Okay, okay. Everyone settle down. That was a fair question Jimmy. Oh, and
Reggie they if they do come they will probably eat the wise crackers like you
first.
Everyone laughs at Reggie. The bell rings to signal the end the class,
everyone stands up and walks out.
About two hours later its lunch break. All the kids are eating in the
cafeteria. Derek, Jimmy and Juan sit at a table with their lunch trays. Derek
starts talking.
Mr. Wu doesn't know how right he is.
Jimmy changes the subject.
That robot thing. What are you going to do with it? he asks.
First, we need to find out why it's here, Derek explains.
Reggie walks up behind Jimmy and intentionally bumps him in the back of
the head with his elbow, while he holds a food tray.
Hey! Jimmy shouts.
Oh! I'm sorry, Reggie replies.
Paul and Bull, friends of Reggie's, stand next to him and laugh at Reggie for
bumping Jimmy.

Ha, ha, ha, Paul laughs.

Bull then puts down on Jimmy.
Whoh! What a dork! he says.
Reggie and his pals keep walking and sit at the next table.
That guy's a jerk, Derek says to Jimmy.
Juan gets Jimmy and Dereks attention.
Wait! Just wait for it.
Jaun looks over at Reggie as he is getting ready to take a drink from a
cardboard fruit drink. Derek and Jimmy then look over at Reggie as Juan
stares at him.
Wud you do? Jimmy asks.
Juan chuckles.
I poked a hole in his fruit drink in the food line, he says.
The kids keep looking at Reggie as red fruit punch squirts out of poked hole.
It gets all over his white school polo shirt. He spits punch on to the floor as it
gets all over him. Everyone in the room laughs at Reggie as he makes a fool
of himself. He looks towards Derek, Jimmy, and Juan. Juan points at Reggie
with the I gotta hand sign and smiles.
Reggie figures it out.
I'm gonna get you! he yells.
Juan laughs so hard everyone in the cafeteria can hear him. He stands up
and starts running out of the room to escape Reggies wrath. Reggie gives
chase as Juan disappears into the hallway.

The kids finish lunch, attend a couple more classes and all head home for
the day.

Chapter 5 | Why is COG here?

Derek enters his lab after school and he throws his school books on the
bench near the door. He sees COG standing on the bench with his back
turned to him. A green stone on the bench glows as the image of a frog like
alien is projected in the air. Its Worg, COGs alien boss.
Have you made contact with the earth beings? Worg questions.
Yes commander, but I have still to explain my mission. Beep, beep, COG
answers.
I see one standing behind you.
COG turns and looks at Derek.
Yes. This is one of them. He appears to be a young earthling.
Earthling step forward, Worg commands.
Sir, Derek responds.
I'm Worg. High Commander of the Veluan. I see you have met my android
COG.
Only sort of. Why are you here?
Your world. It's in grave danger. You see it was recently placed on the
space travelers mapping system.
Yes. Youre in danger. I'm here to help protect your planet, COG adds.
From who? We don't have any enemies in space. Do we? Derek questions.
A map of the galaxy is projected in the air as Worg explains.

For thousands of years your world was uncharted. No one amongst our
worlds knew it was populated and full of resources. But now that it has
been charted many like the Yokites, Frelans, Botnots, and others will go
there. They'll all try to steal, pillage and rule your world. COG has been sent
to help you fight them off.
Derek looks at COG.
COG? So that's your name.
Yes, I'm COG. I am here to protect your planet.
Worg speaks out.
Boy, I must go for now. It's up to you and COG to protect your planet. Worg
out.
The display of the universe and Worg all disappear from view, leaving just
Derek and COG. Derek's mom yells from the other room.
Derek, dinner.
Yes Mom! Be there in a minute!
Derek turns towards COG.
COG. Don't go nowhere. I'll be back right after dinner, he says.
Beep, yes, COG agrees to wait.

Chapter 6 | Yokites
After dinner Derek returns to his lab and looks over at COG. COGs watching
Dereks big screen television. He modified it to allow viewing of spacecraft
entering the earths atmosphere. On the screen a space ship fly's towards
earth.
Derek. The Yokites are entering your atmosphere, COG declares.
Yokites, who are they?
They're pirates. If they have come here, it's to steal something. Thats what
they do.
At the same time high above the earth the Yokites, blue looking aliens with
lizard like features plan their attack. The Yokite second in command, a
lieutenant, announces their arrival to his commander.
Commander. We're at the green planet they call Earth.
As the commander looks at his view screen he observes earth below.
Excellent Lieutenant. Prepare to beam to the planet surface. Ready our
scouting party, he requests.
Yes Commander.
Other Yokites are working on the command deck, checking instrument
panels, walking around, and readying the ship for orbit.
Meanwhile back at the lab COG looks at the monitor screen. It shows the
Yokite ship flash red and then a green flash on earth.
COG interprets the screen.
The Yokites have beamed to your planet. We need to get to their location,
he tells Derek.

Where are they COG? Derek asks.

They have beamed to park near here.
The Yokite crew materialize in the park in broad daylight near a gym set.
Several small children on the gym set stop what they are doing and freeze in
place when they see them appear. Two parents sit on a bench as the Yokites
materialize behind them. One of the kids screams.
Mommy, mommy. Magic lizard men.
The little girl points at the Yokites. The two parents turn their heads to look
at the Yokites.
Honey, don't point, that's rude. Theyre probably part of the county fair or
something, one of the mothers answers.
A few minutes pass by...

Chapter 7 | Invasion
COG is working on locating the exact location of the Yokites. Jimmy and Juan
arrive and walk into the lab. They havent seen Jimmy since school.
Hey! What's the little guy's name, Jimmy asks.
COG, Derek answers.
What happen? Why did he crash land? Juan asks.
The crash was an accident, but he's here to help us, Derek advises.
Help us? Help us with what? Jimmy asks.
An alien Invasion, Derek replies.
Juan puckers his lips like hes going to whistle.
Ouuu, you mean like the body snatchers are coming, he says.
Derek slaps Juan in the back of the head.
No, worse. COG says Yokites are a bunch of thieves and they just beamed
into the city park.
COG advises the group.
I have them. I have their location. You guys must find out why they're
here.
Derek questions COG.
Us? I thought you came to save earth.

Beep, yes, but I cant risk being seen by the Yokites or more earth people.
They can't know I'm here. You three must follow them.
COG holds up three special looking wrist bands.
Put these on, he says.
What are they? Derek asks.
Transmission bands. I can talk to you and beam you to different locations
using them.
Jimmy smiles and nods.
Awesome! he says.
Like beam me up Scottie? Juan asks.
I don't know what that means. Zip, zip, COG answers.
Beam? Beam us like transport us to another location through thin air?
Derek asks.
Yes, now prepare. I'm beaming you guys to the Yokite's location.
Derek, Jimmy, and Juan look at their hands and bodies as they dematerialize
into nothing. They look shocked as it's their first time being beamed.
On the other side of town Derek and the guys materialize near the
bathroom, close to the gym set.
Derek directs their attention.
Look over there. That has to be them. Let's get closer.
No. Let's stay back here, Jimmy suggests.
Man. They look pretty scary, Juan adds.

One of the Yokite soldiers looks at a tablet device that hes holding. He
advises his commander.
Sir. I have transbeam signatures coming from over there.
He points towards Derek and his friends. The commander questions.
Not our signatures. Find the source, he commands.
Yes sir, follow me.
Derek and his friends see the Yokites coming towards them. Jimmy points
out the Yokites.
They're coming! he says.
Just act normal. They won't know who we are, Derek tells them.
Run? Juan asks Derek.
Don't run. They can't know we're here to follow them.
The Yokites approach the kids and the Yokite solider identifies them as the
source of the signal.
Sir, it's these boys here. They're the source.
The commander directs his men.
Grab them! he commands.
The two soldiers and the lieutenant grab the arms of the kids.
Let us go! Derek demands.
Yeah! Let us go! Jimmy and Juan also demand.
The Yorkite Commander instructs his men.
Beam us all to the ship.

Chapter 8 | On Board
On board the Yokite ship the kids wait in the interrogation room. The kids
hands are strapped to a single bar above their heads. Only the kids are in
the room at the moment. It's a plain looking room with blue metal grated
walls. From a window in the room outer space and the earth is seen.
Derek. We're in big trouble, Juan states.
Yeah. I'm sort of freaking out too, Derek answers.
How we gonna get out of here? Jimmy questions.
Yeah Derek. How? Juan asks.
As they look at each other and talk about escape plans the Yokite
commander enters the room to interrogate them.
Who are you? You humans are not supposed to have beam capability.
Derek thinks its worth trying to bluff the commander.
Well we do, so let us go and we'll spare you.
The Yokite Commander laughs.
Ha, grugla, grugla. You puny little ones.
Yes, you blue skinned lizard Nopslop, Derek says.
Insults? You will tell me everything I want to know.
No, you will tell me everything I want to know,
Derek replies.

Maybe torture will change your mind?

Derek puts on a brave face.
Torture me. I won't talk, he says.
Jimmy doesnt know what Dereks up to so he interrupts.
Hey! Speak for yourself. I'll talk.
The commander paces back and forth in front of the kids.
Ahhh, talk. You'll all talk. I will loosen your tongues with a little Frongolee
music, he says.
The commander talks to his crew using a wrist worn communication device
like the boys have on.
Lieutenant. Turn on the Frongolee music in the interrogation room.
Yes, Commander.
A loud unpleasant noises are played. The sound pitches up and down. The
boys flinch from side to side from the horrible noise. The commander starts
to walk out.
Boys, maybe this will teach you some respect?
The boys continue to flinch back and forth as the commander leaves the
room.
Jimmy. Can you reach the button on my wrist device? Derek asks.
Yeah, I think so.
Try! Slide your hand towards mine. I think you can reach it for me.
Jimmy starts sliding his hand towards Derek's.

Almost there, Jimmy says.

Hit the button. I can call COG for help.
Jimmy slides his tied hand towards Dereks and presses the button on
Dereks wrist band.
COG! COG! We need your help! Derek calls out.
Beep, COG here!
COG, we got captured by the Yokites. We're on their ship in orbit.
Tracking your signal now.
Beam us out, Derek pleas.
Sorry, I can't. Your signatures show you're attached to the ship.
We're tied to a bar, Derek says.
Then I cant beam you, beep. You would be beamed with the whole ship.
It's too big.
COG, do something, Derek demands.
Yes Derek, I'll beam to you. Stand-by.
Jimmy looks at Derek and Juan.
Man. If we get out of here I'll never bug my little brother about his music
again. This has to be the worst music ever, Jimmy says.
The Yokite commander and crew look at their monitor. It shows earth
below.
Sir. We have located resources on the planet worth taking. Shall I notify the
home world, the Yokite lieutenant asks his commander.

No, not yet. We will make sure to collect for ourselves first. Then we will
notify them.
As you command sir.
COG materializes in the interrogation room and approaches the kids. He's
only two feet tall so he has to look up at them as they remain tied to a bar.
You look well young Master Derek, COG says.
COG, get us down from here.
Uzzz. You need my help?
Yes! Can't you see where tied up?
Yes, beep. But why don't you just use your wrist bands?
COG! What the heck are you talking about?
Instead of calling me you could of just gave your wrist band the dissolve
command.
Dissolve command?
Yes, push the talk button and state dissolve restraints.
Jimmy, hit the button on my wrist band again.
Jimmy reaches over with his tied hand and hits the button on Derek's wrist
band.
Dissolve restraints, Derek states.
The restraints on Dereks wrists disappear and Derek's hands are freed. He
pulls his arms down to his side.
Wow! What the heck was that? Derek asks.

Your bands have the ability to dissolve matter around your body, COG
answers.
Juan, push my button, Jimmy asks.
Okay, Juan replies.
Juan pushes the button on Jimmy's wrist band device.
Dissolve, Jimmy states.
All of Jimmys clothes disappear along with the wrist restraints.
Ha, ha, ha, Juan laughs.
I'm naked! Jimmy shouts.
Yes, you gave the dissolve command without specifying what to dissolve,
COG says.
Ha, ha, ha. Remind me not to do that, Derek says.
Yes, beep, zeep, beep, COG responds.
COG. How do I put my clothes back on? Jimmy asks.
Sorry Jimmy, but dissolve permanently beams unwanted matter around
you into space. You can't get your clothes back.
But I'm naked!
Derek finds a sliver foil sheet folded on a table in the room. He grabs it and
throws it to Jimmy while laughing.
Here! Wear this! Derek says.
A few minutes later Derek, Jimmy, Juan, and COG all gather in the
engineering room. Jimmy still has the silver sheet wrapped around him as
clothing.

COG. What are we doing here? Derek asks.

Beep, buying time. Zoop, zoop.
Explain, Derek requests.
I'm going to sabotage their warp drive and send them across the universe.
You guys head to the command deck. I need you to distract them from the
command dash boards, otherwise they'll see me in their computer
systems.
Distract how? Derek asks.
You figure it out, beep. You must hurry or we'll be discovered.
Derek and the guys run onto the command deck and into the center of the
command center.
How'd you get loose? the Yokite commander asks.
I told you lizard breath. We're superior beings. You should fear us.
I don't know how you escaped, but it won't happen again. Seize them!
The crew on the deck slowly starts to move closer to the kids.
Show um Derek! Juan shouts.
Derek reaches into his pocket and pulls out his iPod.
Back! Get back or I'll destroy your ship, Derek screams.
He's bluffing, the Yokite lieutenant says.
No. I'm warning you. I'm turning it on, Derek says.
Music starts playing on Dereks iPod and the aliens all stop moving.
I warned you! Now you must pay! Derek says.

Derek talks to his wrist band.

COG! Now!
It's a trick! one of the Yokite soldiers yells.
Seize them! the Yokite commander shrieks.
At that moment the boys dematerialize off the command deck. The Yokite
commander and crew are bewildered by the kids beam out.
Sir, the engines are charging. We're going into warp, a Yokite engineer
says.
We've plotted no course. Shut down the engines, the Yokite lieutenant
commands.
I can't Sir. Someone has tampered with the controls. We're going to be
warped into the uncharted part of the universe.

Chapter 9 | Home
COG, Derek and his friends all materialize in his bedroom. Jimmy and Juan
hug, then give each other high fives.
Yeah!!! We're alive! Jimmy says.
We made it! High five! Juan says.
That was close. COG, where are the Yokites? Derek asks.
In a galaxy far, far, away.
All the boys laugh out of relief.
COG. Where'd you really send them?
Beep, really, I don't know. I just aimed them towards the uncharted part of
the galaxy and locked their controls in. It will take them anywhere from a
few weeks to a few months to come back.
COG little guy. You rock! Derek says.
Rock? Play music? COG asks.
No, you did a great job little buddy.
Oh yes. Then I rock, beep.
Well Derek I gotta go home. My favorite show's on tonight, Jimmy says.
Me too. And I'm hungry. See you tomorrow Derek, Juan says.
Okay guys, see ya tomorrow.

Derek walks to his living room and sits down on the couch. He's home for
the night. He starts snacking on a bowl of popcorn and plops his feet on the
coffee table. His mom gets on him for having his feet on the table.
Feet.
Yes mom.
Derek puts his feet on the ground and starts to watch TV. His dad and mom
sit in lazy boy type chairs. Dad starts to read the paper and mom a book.
How was your day? Dereks mom asks.
Great!
Good. Do anything interesting? his dad asks.
Nah! Nothing special.
Derek smiles
