Eggs

Eggs is an 11-year-old boy who thinks he is a Boxtroll

because he has been raised by the lovable creatures
since he was a baby. Like all Boxtrolls, he is resourceful
and loves to build things out of junk. He also finds out
that hes brave when he goes above ground to search
for his kidnapped Boxtroll friend, Fish.

Fish & Shoe

Fish is the Boxtroll who found Eggs as a baby
and brought him to be raised by all the Boxtrolls
together. He has always taught Eggs to hide from
danger, but when Fish gets kidnapped its Eggs who
has to help find him. Shoe is a grumpy Boxtroll who
cant help pocketing any good nut, bolt, or shiny
thing that he sees! He is best friends with Fish and
has grown to be fond of Eggs as well.

Winnie

Winnifred Portley-Rind, or, as she prefers to be called,

Winnie, is the daughter of the town of Cheesebridges
most prominent citizen. Shes dressed up in frilly
dresses and pretty bows, but shes really more of a
tomboy who wants adventure. All her life, shes been
told that Boxtrolls are scary, but when she makes
friends with Eggs, she learns that his family of
Boxtrolls is friendly and she decides to help them.

Sparky

Sparky is a Boxtroll who is strong but doesnt say a

lot. Most things dont impress him much. He prefers
to keep working on his tinkering projects, and wears
protective welding goggles over his eyes which is a
good idea, because he gets hit by electric shocks a lot
when hes trying to fix or build something!

Oil Can

Oil Can is a Boxtroll who is very small. Somehow he always

gets dirty, but still always looks cute! He wears a funnel as
a hat, and carries a blue oil can with him at all times. Hes
always prepared if something mechanical needs a quick fix!

Wheels

Wheels is a Boxtroll who has plenty of high energy, more

than even the other Boxtrolls. Hes their transporter
expert, and he rides his cool unicycle everywhere. When
he speaks, he makes low, guttural noises and sounds like
an engine!

DARE TO BE SQUARE
The family movie event of the year, from the creators of Coraline
and ParaNorman, introduces audiences to a new breed of family The Boxtrolls, a community of quirky, mischievous creatures
who have lovingly raised a human boy named Eggs (voiced by
Isaac Hempstead Wright) in their amazing underground home in
the caverns beneath the town of Cheesebridge.
When the towns villain, Archibald Snatcher (Academy Award winner
Ben Kingsley), comes up with a plan to get rid of the Boxtrolls, Eggs
must venture above ground to save them. There he teams up with
the fabulously feisty Winnie (Elle Fanning) and together they devise a
daring plan to save Eggs adopted Boxtrolls family.

THE BOXTROLLS opens in theaters
