• Vs a 1 tech becomes a dart concept

• PST – pass set the DE
• PSG – down on 1 tech (cannot cut him!)
• C – pulls for BSG
• BSG – line call to center for swap assignments
• BST – pulls to open gap
• RB must be patience with OT (wrapper) block, the hole can change!

The two biggest points I got from Coach Owens was:

• When changing to the spread he still wanted that downhill attitude run. The blocking remains the same
whether the play is run from under center or from gun.
• If personnel is a problem then have players learn multiple positions. At Ashland they have Fullbacks and H
Backs (TE) grouped together and Running backs and Slot receivers grouped together.

• QB must look down field to sell the sprint out

• PST and PSG block and drive 3 tech
• C and BSG block and drive 1 tech
• RB takes one step to outside THEN waits for ball

• PSG must seal or block back

• Lead RB blocker must read PST block. If Tackle blocks out then RB will lead inside (B gap). If Tackle blocks
down then RB will lead to the next hole (C gap).
• RB sells outside path then dips into hole.
