Course Title: Histology
CHARTER STATEMENTS

Course Description: This course deals with the study of cells and tissues
within an organism, and which serves as the foundation on
which pathology and histopathology are built. The
common goal is to better understand how structure and

function are integrated in the molecules, cells, tissues &


organs of a living body.

General Objectives: At the end of the course, the students should be able
to:
1. Explain the fundamentals of cells & tissues.
2. Explain the characteristics and functions of microscopic structures of cells
and tissues which serve as the foundation on which pathology &
pathophysiology are built.
3. Explain the functions of cellular organelles and their functional
interrelationship.
4. Manifest the following values: integrity, critical thinking, honesty,
creativity and concern for others.
