1. Artificial Intelligence is a process that is subdivided in seven stages. One of the processes is
the Intelligent Agent. Other process is Xpert System. Another process is Artificial Neural
Networks. Knowledge emulator is composed of seven automated steps. Artificial
Intelligence is to enable computers to somehow simulate human intelligence
2. Intelligent agent is an autonomous entity which observes through sensors and acts upon
an environment using actuators and directs its activity towards achieving goals. Used to
help the Internet shopper to find the desired item quickly without having to browse page
after page of the wrong merchandise. Helps you keep track of what web site you visited
and customizes your view of the web by automatically keeping a bookmark list. Are
applied as automated online assistants. Consist of an expert system to provide specific
expertise to the user. Intelligent agent has been around for years, but the actual
implementation is still in its early stages.
3. Expert system is a computer system that emulates the decision-making ability of a human
expert. Expert systems were among the first truly successful forms of AI software. An
expert system is divided into two sub-systems: the inference engine and the knowledge
base. The knowledge base represents facts and rules. The inference engine applies the
rules to the known facts to deduce new facts. An expert system is an example of a
knowledge-based system. Expert systems were the first commercial systems to use a
knowledge-based architecture. A knowledge-based system is essentially composed of two
sub-systems: the knowledge base and the inference engine.
5. The perceptron is an algorithm for supervised classification of an input into one of several
possible non-binary outputs. Perceptrons are the easiest data structures to learn for the
study of Neural Networking. The perceptron is a simple model of a neuron (nerve cell).
