Working as an independent contractor conducting Phase I ESAs and limited
environmental sampling. Independent contractor for Land America Corporation as
a Professional Assessor performing and reviewing Phase I ESAs. Also conduct
limited radon, asbestos, and lead paint sampling.

-Shield Engineering (Project Manager 1/08-2/09)

-Directed work, prepared pre-approval forms, and reports (LSAs, CSAs, CAPs) for
work conducted under the NCDENR Trust Fund Program and other NCDENR and
SCDHEC programs. Conducted environmental compliance audits of industrial
facilities. Oversight and co-ordination of projects including: budget tracking,
schedules, proposals and directing contractors and field staff.

-Coordinated Emergency Spill Response throughout the US for transportation and


insurance companies. Reviewed emergency spill cleanup claims for environmental
compliance and cost reasonableness for insurance companies.

• Brought in and developed $250,000 mine permitting and monitoring job.

-Environmental Waste Management Associates, LLC (EWMA)

-Developed sampling plans, conducted UST Investigations, Preliminary


Assessments, Phase I and II ESAs, monitoring well installations, soil sampling,
geologic logging, Natural Resource Injury calculations, Deed Notices, and Natural
Attenuation Proposals. Collected, analyzed and interpreted scientific data,
generated environmental reports including Site and Remedial Investigation
Reports and Corrective Action Workplans at UST sites, dry cleaners, and industrial
sites including chemical and dye manufacturers, and metal plating and finishing
operations for submission to the state.

-Prepared cost estimates and proposals, collection and analysis of site data for
remedial system design including: air sparge/SVE, monitored natural attenuation,
ORC™, surfactant treatment, zero valent iron (ZVI), and chemical oxidation.
Performed aquifer testing, ground water contouring and contaminant modeling,
directed membrane interface probe and down-hole geophysical investigations.
Oversaw and coordinated field activities by contractors and field staff, meetings
with clients and state environmental officials on project plans. Responsible for
conducting work and preparing reports on several large scale and guaranteed
cost clean-ups, with minimal oversight from Project Manager.

• While helping direct an investigation and clean-up for a large industrial facility,
designed a ZVI Barrier in conjunction with a surfactant injection as part of a
downtown redevelopment project allowing reduced costs and rapid turnaround for
high profile project.

• Spearheaded investigation on a site that had been remediated but had issues
with recurring free-product. Designed a remedial strategy that determined some
source material beneath the building had been missed and removed it using a
combination of surfactant and ORC™ treatment. This approach finally addressed
the residual free product and received a ‘No Further Action’ allowing the
completion of a property transaction.

-Excel Environmental Resources, Inc. (Assistant Project Manager/Project


Geologist 2/02-7/02)

-Developed sampling plans, UST Investigations, Preliminary Assessments,


monitoring well installations, soil sampling, analyzing and interpreting scientific
data, and generating environmental reports for submission to the state.
Performed groundwater and contaminant plume modeling. Preparation of cost
estimates and work scopes.

• Field directed a preliminary investigation of a former asphalt plant and historic


landfill with potential hazardous chemical dumping for a municipality in southern
New Jersey utilizing state grant funds, in preparation for possible future
redevelopment of the property.

Performed UST Investigations, monitoring well design and installations, Phase I


and II Site Assessments, soil and groundwater sampling, analyzed scientific data.
Prepared Classification Exemption Areas, generated environmental reports and
workplans. Conducted slug tests, groundwater and contaminant modeling, and
implementation of landfill closure, remediation and associated report and permit
preparation. Planned and implemented remedial systems entailing,
bioremediation, skimmer systems, natural attenuation, and chemical oxidation.
Survey monitoring wells using surveying equipment and GPS.
