Intercede with Us for the Muslim World!

Praise the Lord, all nations! Extol him, all peoples! For great is his steadfast love toward us, and the faithfulness of the
Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord! (Psalm 117, ESV).
This is God's desireto be worshiped by all peopleand it is a desire born of love. As we pray for Muslims this week, that
they will come to realize His love and faithfulness toward them, know that we are praying according to His desire.

Today's Prayer Requests: From Students, Alumni, and Missionaries

BENIN: An alumnus who directs the Assemblies of God Bible institute here asks for prayer for the upcoming
semester, beginning in September. They are expecting their highest enrollment ever160+ and the dormitories are
not sufficient. Pray that every logistical need will be met, and for the students and professors. Pray that many will
sense the burden and become better equipped to work in Muslim-dominated areas of the country. The Assemblies of
God of Benin is strategically sending more pastors to these areas; pray the Lord will give them favor and fruit!
CAMEROON: The Islamic terrorist group Boko Haram, based in Nigeria, takes advantage of the long and porous
border to infiltrate northern Cameroon. A graduate serving in leadership of the Assemblies of God of Cameroon
reports that, though their churches in the north have not been attacked by Boko Haram, the threat is serious and real.
Please pray (1) for God's divine protection over His Church, (2) that those in leadership in Boko Haram will be
exposed and their plans thwarted, (3) for revival in Cameroon in the face of these threats. Pray for the home missions
program of the AG-Cameroon as they target the Muslim-dominated north.

In the News
Please lift up Pasteur Saeed Abedini, in prison for his faith in Iran. He has had no contact with family for the past
month, as those who are allowed to visit have had to travel, and requests to make phone calls to him have been
refused. On August 6, guards raided his prison cell, targeting him alone with actions called dishonorable and harsh.
Pray the Lord's presence will permeate Pastor Saeed's heart and be evident to his cell mates. Pray for his scattered
family (some cannot return to Iran) and for his wife and two children in the U.S.

For Muslim Women**

Pray that female Christian guest workers in the Arab Gulf will courageously carry the Good News through doors God
opens in the countries where they serve. Some 2.4 million foreign maids work in the 6 Arab Gulf countries. Most
come from Asia and Africa; many are believers. Most live with their employer's family, and many suffer ill treatment
at their hands. May the Spirit of the Lord shine through their lives and strengthen their faith.
