thesummerof1976.Iwasbarely20yearsold.Itwasmydream.Beingaflight
attendantinthe70'swasactuallysomewhatglamorousandprestigious,orat
leastIthoughtitwas.
Ihadn'tbeenflyingbutafewmonths.Iwasoncalleveryothermonth.
Ireceivedacallforflight#1.ItwasthemostseniorflightAAflewoutofNYC.It
leftLaGuardiaaround7:00amandwasanonstoptoLAX.Iseemtorememberit
gettinginLAaround10:00am.
Theticketagentsaidtherewasacelebrityonboard.Itwastheirpolicyto
alwaysnotifythecrew.IwasfromasmalltowninIllinoisof7,000,sothethought
ofmeetingacelebritywasextremelyexciting.WewereinformeditwasMr.Bill
Cosby.HewasverypopularatthattimewithhishumorousJelloads.
Iwasworkingcoachandhewasinfirstclass.Iwassothrilledtogethis

ThenextthingIrememberisthatIwasintheRollsRoyceprofusely
vomiting.IapologizedandthedriversaidIwasn'tthefirst.Irememberseeinga

driverhadtoescortmetomyroom.
IwokeupthenextmorningfullyclothedlikeIhadn'tmovedallnight.Iwas

situationanditwasmyfault.Ilivedwiththeshameandguiltofthinkingitwas
somehowmyfault.Itwasn't,andifIhadn'tbeendruggedIwouldhavenever
endedupinahotelroomwithhim,ever.Andheknewthat.
