THE GREAT BEYOND.

THE PREPARATION.
“But there shall by no means enter it (the Holy City)
anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a
lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book
of Life.” “Blessed are those who do His
commandment, that they may have the right to the
tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the
city.”

Rev.21:22; 22:14.

“Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for

when he has been proved (tried – kjv) he will receive
the crown of life which the Lord has promised to
those who love him.” James l:12.
All previous texts in this series have been taken from
the New King James Version. But the following texts
will be taken from the King James Authorized Version.

TEMPTATION. - Tests; trials; afflictions; troubles;

enticements (to sin). --- It includes such afflictions
as sickness, persecution, poverty, and calamity.
Trials whether expressly designed by Satan, to tempt
a man to sin, or only to annoy and harass him, are
always a test of Christian experience. --- The ministry
of suffering and temptation is the formation of
character…” 7BC. James 1:12. The trials of life are
the tools of God to perfect our characters for the
heavenly courts above. Patiently endured will build a
stronger character, and give the ability to stand
through the troublous times which are coming upon
the earth.

Tried - Proved; tested; “The trying of your faith

worketh patience.” James 1:4
Victorious faith that has successfully faced the
various problems of life, or ‘divers’ (various)
temptations.

Patience - Steadfastness; endurance; constancy;

This enduring power is the result of faith that has
been tried and found triumphant. ‘As gold tried in
the fire.’

‘Tribulation worketh patience’. Rom.5:3.

‘Bring forth fruit with patience’. Luke 8:15.
‘Eternal life to those who by patient continuance in
doing good seek for glory, honor and eternal life.
Rom.7:2.
‘For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have
done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.’
Heb.10:36.
‘Here is the patience of the saints; here are they that
keep the commandments of God, and the faith of
Jesus.’ Rev.14:12.

“The acquiring of patient endurance is actually the

process of developing a Christlike character, --- We
must not limit, or weaken our enduring power by
murmuring, complaining, or rebelling.”

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is

stayed on The; because he trusteth in Thee.” Isa.
26:3.

Perfect Work. - Completed work; The reaching of

Christian maturity. Perfect and entire – not a single
desirable character trait is to be lacking; each is to be
developed in perfection. --- Reproducing the character
of Christ, - is the ‘Work’ God has given us to do.”

This is – OUR HIGH CALLING.

“Work out your own salvation with fear and

trembling; For it is God who works in you both to will
and to do for His good pleasure.” Phil.2:12,13. We
must choose the right because it is right. Then ask
God for the power to do His will.
