In existing old water supply system of MRG Section Source of water to Command areas
of Bibi ka chashma,acchireddy nagar ,farooq nagar low level,farooq nagar high level
,vattepally ,fathimanagar ,Mustafa nagar ,Guntal Baba dargah Was throuhh RCI line
400mm dia Pumping from Miralam. Now the population has increased enormously and
density of population has increased drastically ,New colonies have come up in hilly
areas since 2003 increased day by day.The storage Reservoir located at Vattepally
which is centrally located to these areas has been fed through branch from feeder main
Connecting RCI 400MM dia CI Water supply line from Miralam .Due to hilly terrain in
the area in MRG Section and increase in command area and density of Population
and lack of dedicated feeder main to Vattepally Reservoir OHSR .Problem has arised
that we can give supply once in five days .The One MG Reservoir from Which Pumping
is done from RCI Pump room .The reservoir has been heavily loaded as it is catering to
water supply requirement of MRG Section,Bahadurpura section ,chandulal bardari
section The supply and demand are not met resulting in Levels being fall down
quickly and Pumping hours reduced . resulting Erratic water supply timings on 11th
august 2015 Honable MLA BahadurPura and Charminar Constituency along with part
workers have staged dharna at water works office Bahadurpura Miralam regarding
water being supplied once in five days in area back of falaknam palace areas as
mentioned abaove .The same has been taken to the notice of Chief General Manager
(E) Who inturn instructed General Manager(E) to come with proposal for improving water
supply areas as mentioned above and converting in to alternate day supply.The above
situation in detail observed during the inspection of GM(E), O & M Dn-Ialong with
DGM(E) / SD-Iand Manager(Engg)/MRG Section. After detail observations in above
areas, it has decided to lay 400mm dia DI water supply Dedicated Inlet main tapping
water from Krishna Phase -1 at Engine Bowli X road to Vattepally OHSR and inter
connect existing distribution system.Accordingly an estimate is prepared duly adopting
approved rates all the specials for connecting proposed 400mm DI pipeline by taking off
take from Krishna water Pipe line 1000mm dia Phase I near Engine Bowli X Road and
laying 400mm dia Main as Inlet to Vattepally Reservoir to improve water supplies and
Convert to alternate water supply for Improvement in areas Bibi k chashma,achi reddy
nagar,madina colony part,farooq nagar,fathimanagar ,pardha gate,bangladesh galli
Under MRG SECTION SD-1,O&M Div no-1., and the expenditure may be chargeable to

There is no water supply line in this stretch of Ghousia Bagh, existing domestic water
connections from main road, due to lengthy . Previously the supply system is from Asifnagar
pumping main, now it is from Bhoja gutta reservoir, and there is no feeder main only 100mm dia
distribution line is there. Previously there are only individual houses, now those are almost
converted as two storied and three storied buildings and may portions recently four individual
houses have been converted into MSBs and those consumers applied for higher dia connections.
Hence separate of 100mm dia DI water supply line is essential for improvement of water supply
to Nandi Nagar and Saptagiri colony. The matter was informed to General Manager(Engg), O &
M Division III during his routine inspection to the section and has instructed to submit
proposals for laying of 200 mm dia D.I. water supply line for improvement of water supply to the
above area and also to cater supplies to MSBs.
Accordingly an estimate is prepared

with a proposal to laying of 100 mm dia water

supply line to extent of 100Rmt which will be connected to the existing 250 mm dia water supply
main at opp. Sofine Hotel . Provision has been made in the estimate towards road restoration.
The total cost of the estimate is Rs.2,00,000.00. the estimate is prepared based on current SSR
and departmental approved rates. The expenditure may be chargeable to E/WS under IInd
Phase 100 days Programme.

supply line from H.No:13-6-460/10/7, MMR School to H.No:13-6-460/15/1, Mahesh
Nager under Karwan Section, Sub.Dn.III of O& M Division III.
Amount of Estimate: Rs.7,75,000.00

The existing water supply line is 100mm dia in this stretch of Mahesh Nagar. There is no
feeder main only 100mm dia distribution line is there. Previously there are only individual

line is essential for improvement of water supply to Mahesh Nagar . The matter was informed to

from Subji Mandi Sump to New Ganga Nagar to improve existing water supply system and
to eliminate pit taps at Ganga nagar under Karwan Section, Sub.Dn.III, O & M Dn.III.
Amount of Estimate: Rs.15.50 Lakhs
In existing old water supply system in Ganga nagar of Karwan Section 100mm dia water
supply line is there to catter the water supply to Ganga Nagar, Police quarters and Mekala mandi
and Joshi Wadi all above lanes and by lanes junctions made from 100mm dia water supply line
only. Now the population has increased enormously and distribution network of 100mm dia CI &
RCC water supply distribution network on 18( Eighteen) areas water supply lines.

The same

can be seen in present distribution network plan enclosed. Due to increase of thick population
and distribution system low pressure and no water supply complaints in tail end areas of both
sides of the main road increased day by day.
The Honble MLA Karwan Constituency also insisted many times to eliminate pittaps and
improve the low pressure problems in above Ganga Nagar and Joshi wadi areas and also the
GHMC corporator of ward No- requested to solve the water supply problems in ward of Karwan
, specially in tail end area.
The above situation in detail observed during the inspection of CGM(E), O & M Circle-III,
GM(E), O & M Dn-III along with DGM(E) / SD-IIIand Manager(Engg)/Karwan Section. After detail

has decided to lay 200mm dia water supply feeder main in Ganga Nagar 100mm dia in Joshi
Wadi water supply lines to inter connect existing distribution system to proposed feeder main and

enclosed, for proper distribution of water in all tail end areas.
Accordingly an estimate is prepared duly adopting approved rates all the specials for
connecting proposed 200/100mm dia feeder main to existing distribution main have taken in CI
as the DI specials will not suit to the existing CI & RCC old lines, and the expenditure may be
chargeable to 3rd 100 Days Programme.
