that occurred at a specific time in the past.

last (last week, last month, last year)
ago (two days ago, three weeks ago)
when / before / after + past verb
(when I was a child, before I went to school,
after I finished my homework)

I woke up at 7:00 am yesterday.


Last week, I watched a lot of TV.
I ironed my clothes last night.
I washed my face before I brushed my teeth.
