This Inspection and Test Plan (I&TP) shall be used for the fireproofing activities in ESKENE WEST RAIL
PROJECT (EWRP)
The ITP shall be submitted to the COMPANY for approval, and prior to start of work inspection points
shall be identified.

Hold Point

Inspection Point

A stage at which the inspection, examination or testing of the work


is mandatory and subsequent activities must not proceed without
the approval of the ISKER - KSS Quality Control Inspector. The
submission of a Request for Inspection (RFI) is mandatory for
AKCO hold points.
A stage at which the work shall be inspected, examined or tested
ISKER - KSS Quality Control Inspector, as required in this I&TP

evidence of the inspection is required.


Witness

A stage at which the work is to be witnessed by the designated


Quality Control Inspector. The submission of a Request for
Inspection (RFI) is mandatory for AKCO witness points but it is not
required to delay subsequent activities if the AKCO Inspector
does not attend

Review

A stage at which the documentation associated with work is to be


reviewed by the designated Quality Control Inspector

Surveillance

A stage at which the work is to be monitored on a random basis


by the designated Quality Control Inspector.

Preparation methods and
procedures for surfaces to be
coated shall remove all foreign
matter, surface irregularities and
contaminants to bring the surface
to the specified standard of
cleanliness prior to the application
of coatings.

Perform environmental conditions
check to include air temp.,
relative humidity, substrate temp
and dew point. Environmental
conditions checks shall be carried
out at least 3 times during the
shift.

Surface profile measurement


Check that the blast cleaned
surface conforms to SA 2 or
SA 3 (depending on the paint
system used)
For Galvanised surface use
sweep blast/ brush-off.
Use Testex tape to verify surface
profile and attach to the
inspection record
Verify that the blasted surface is
feathered into existing paint at
least 25 mm.
Check that the surfaces are free
from soluble salts
