All bags, backpacks, and packages should be checked. For
safety of artwork, bags may not be carried on ones back.

the Museum parking garage. Wheelchairs at coat-check
areas. FM assistive listening systems available for tours at
Great Hall Audio Guide Desk; infrared sound enhancement

The Cloisters Museum and Gardens
The Cloisters museum and gardens is a branch
of The Metropolitan Museum of Art devoted to
the art and architecture of medieval Europe,
both domestic and religious. The building and
its cloistered gardenslocated in Fort Tryon
Park in northern Manhattanare treasures in
themselves. The extensive collection consists
of masterworks in sculpture, stained glass, and
precious treasury objects from medieval Europe
dating from about the 9th to the 15th century.
