Neumont University Board of Directors Announces Search for Successor to

President Levine
Salt Lake City, February 18, 2015The Board of Directors at Neumont University announced
that President Edward H. Levine will be transitioning from the University presidency to focus on
his role as a board member as part of the transition to new leadership at the Salt Lake City
institution. The transition will occur smoothly during the spring of 2015 as a suitable successor
is identified and installed.
Levine will continue his active involvement as a member of the Neumont Board of Directors. He
said, My time at Neumont is one of the most exciting and satisfying positions of my career. The
opportunity to build an institution that comprehensively educates and develops young people
for high-demand careers is critically important to America. I am proud of the staff and faculty of
Neumont and their unique abilities to solve complex education challenges in the service of
students and their eventual employers. I am pleased to be able to continue my role in
governance at Neumont University.
Mr. Levine became president of the university in the autumn of 2007 when the young institution
was distracted with operational issues that challenged the viability of the university. In the
intervening years, the Universitys administration has re-engineered the curriculum, recruited
excellent faculty and staff, established effective marketing programs, strengthened relationships
with industry, moved to a landmark campus, and established a solid financial foundation for the
future.
Matthew Vettel, a founding member of the Board said, Ned and his colleagues have built an
extraordinary bachelors degree granting institution that makes and keeps promises to all
constituencies. Neumont would not be the distinctive institution that it is today without his
vision and energy. The Neumont community is fortunate that Ned will continue in an active role
beyond his presidency.
In addition to his continuing governance role at Neumont, Mr. Levine with be pursuing his longterm interest in land conservation and his board service to entrepreneurial and innovative
companies.
The Neumont Board is conducting a national search for a successor. Nominations should be
submitted to the Neumont University Human Relations Department at careers@neumont.edu.
