0 Introduction
The use of technology in teaching and learning infuses classrooms with digital learning tool
such as computers, LCD devices or online-learning. These techonological usage expands
course offerings, experiences, and learning materials for students and at the very same time the
media and the high-tech gadget teaching tools support learning 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The on-going processes build 21st century skills, increases student engagement and motivation
plus accelerates learning and teaching in the classroom as a whole. Technology also has the
power to transform teaching by ushering in a new model of connected teaching thoughout the
globe with no limits. Hence, with technology incorporated with teaching and learning in the
classroom, ASSURE model links teachers to their students and to professional content,
resources, and systems to help them improve their own instruction and personalize learning as
pointed out in the official website of US Goverment Education webpage.
In my opinion, I strongly believe that online learning opportunities and the use of open
educational resources and other technologies can increase educational productivity by
accelerating the rate of learning; reducing costs associated with instructional materials or
program delivery; and better utilizing teacher time.

2.0 Teaching Media

Teaching media can be a component of active learning strategies such as group discussions,
worksheets or even flashcards and also the incorporation of technology media such as videos
and audio tape. Other media could be a podcast of a lecture or newspaper article as noted by
Mateer (2012). Students can also create their own media. For example, student video projects
can be a powerful learning experience. These are some of my chosen teaching media that I
have incorporated in my lesson plan which are flashcards and music video.
2.1 Flashcards
Flash cards are very effective memory-aid tools that can help students to learn new materials
quickly. Although it may be tempting to associate flash-card learning with younger children who
may be learning the basics of arithmetic, an article published on the Indiana University-Purdue
University, Fort Wayne website notes that the use of flash cards can be effective in college
disciplines like psychology also recommended by Lewis (2011) in his article.
2.1.1 Portability
Flash cards provide students with a portable learning tool. Rather than having to carry around a
book or notebook, flash cards allow students the opportunity to take as many cards as are
needed.
2.1.2 Versatility
Utilize flash cards for virtually any subject. They make perfect learning tools for memorizing
vocabulary for the study of foreign languages,English vocabulary, Maths formulas, dates and
events for history classes, psychology terms and even more advanced topics, like medical
terminology.

2.2 Music video

Music continues to be a fundamental teaching element at home and in the classroom.
Musical exercises and songwriting can be used as memory tools and helpful learning devices.
2.2.1 Memory Tools
When large numbers of facts or ideas need to be assimilated by students, crafting an original
song may lead to a fun and engaging memory tool for the students. The interplay of words and
rhythm in popular songs helps audiences remember what is being said. This same method can
be applied to educational practices Cockerham (2003). Hence, creating lyrics that incorporate
the information to be learned may speed up the memorization process for many students.
2.2.2 Creative Process
Moreover, exposing students to a variety of artistic products and mediums may help stimulate
their own creative impulses. Students who may have otherwise been unexposed to different
styles and cultures may discover a new passion.
2.3 PowerPoint Slideshow
There are many ways to present information, but slideshows are among the most valuable.
According to Conrad (2007), they are an easy-to-use multimedia platform that will make any
presentation more organized and on-topic. Though modern audiences have grown jaded with
too many boring presentations, making it difficult to hold their attention, by using a slideshow
that incorporates elements such as animation and sound, you can gain the attention of the
audience and make the most of your presentations.
2.3.1 Easy to create
Secondly, there are many presentation and slideshow software packages on the market, and
they are all generally easy to use, even for beginners. With just a few simple steps, you can
create compelling and interesting slideshows that everyone in the audience will love.
2.3.2 Slideshows Can Go Anywhere
Finally, one of the biggest advantages of a slideshow is that it can be put on a flash drive and
taken anywhere. Most modern projectors have slots for thumb drives, and it is easier to insert
that drive into a projector and press "Start" than it is to carry a laptop and projector or portfolio of
visual aids.
