Thepaymentofalltuition,feesandchargesbecomesanobligationofthestudentuponregistrationattheUniversityofColoradoBoulder(university).Byagreeingto
thesetermsandconditions,Iauthorizetheuniversitytoaddtomyaccountalltuitionandfees,asapprovedbytheBoardofRegents.Ifurtherunderstandandagree
thatmyregistrationandacceptanceofthesetermsconstitutesapromissorynoteagreement(i.e.,afinancialobligationintheformofaneducationalloanasdefined
bytheU.S.BankruptcyCodeat11U.S.C.523(a)(8))inwhichtheuniversityisprovidingmeeducationalservices,deferringsomeorallofmypaymentobligationfor
thoseservices),andIpromisetopayforallassessedtuition,feesandotherassociatedcostsbythepublishedorassignedduedate.

AfterIregister,Iunderstandthatmybillwillbemadeavailableonline,andIwillbesentnotificationofitsavailabilityatmyuniversity(@colorado.edu)emailaddress.

Payment
IunderstandthatIamregisteringforeducationalcoursesattheuniversity.IherebyacknowledgeandagreethatIamfullyresponsibleforthecostandexpenseofall
tuition,fees,andotherrelatededucationalexpensesassociatedwithmyreceiptofeducationalservicesattheuniversity.Iamresponsibletoreviewthecurrenttuition
andfeechargesatCUBill&Pay,accessibleviaMyCUInfo.Tuitionandfeechargesaresubjecttochangeeveryterm.IunderstandthatIamresponsiblefor
maintainingmycurrentaddressandphonenumberviaMyCUInfo.
IfIexpectfinancialaidtopayallorpartofmyfinancialobligationtotheuniversity,Iunderstandthatitismyresponsibilitytomeetallrequirementsfordisbursement
tomystudentaccount.Itismyresponsibilitytoensurethatallrequirementsofgrantors,lenders,employersandotherthirdpartypayersaremetonatimelybasis.I
understandthatifmyfinancialaidisreducedorcancelledduetoeligibility,IamresponsibleforpayingbacktotheuniversityanyamountsthatIamnoteligiblefor

PaymentPlans
IunderstandthatIhavetheoptiontopaymytuitionbilloveraperiodoftimebyenrollinginapaymentplanifIameligible.IfIameligibleandchoosetoenrollina
paymentplan,thefollowingtermsapply:
Paymentsmustbemadethroughautomaticbankpayment(ACH)fromaregularcheckingorsavingsaccount,oracredit/debitcard.(Anonrefundable2.75%service
feeappliestoeachcredit/debitcardpayment.)
Enrollmentfeeof$25$45applies,dependingontheplan.
A$30returnedpaymentfeeappliestoreturnedpaymentplanpayments.
TheamountsIneedtopaymaychangeduetorecalculationsresultingfromchangestomybill,suchasaddingordroppingclasses,tuitionwaivers,financialaid,etc.
Ifthisoccurs,IunderstandandagreetotakeactiontorebalancemypaymentplanbyloggingintoMyCUInfoandfollowingtheonscreeninstructions.

Withdrawal
IunderstandthatifIdonotofficiallywithdrawfromregisteredcoursesduringthe100%tuitionrefund/creditperiod,Iwillberesponsibleforpayingsomeportionorfull
tuitionamountandfeesbasedonthedatethatIofficiallywithdraw.Imayincuradditionalcharges,includingbutnotlimitedto,room,board,andotherdepartmentalor
universityfees.SeeHowtoWithdrawFromCoursesontheOfficeoftheRegistrarswebsite(http://registrar.colorado.edu/students/withdraw.html).
FailuretoPay
IfIdonotmaketherequiredpaymentinaccordancewiththescheduledpaymentdeadlineandmystudentaccountbecomespastdue,Iwillpayafinancechargeon
theunpaidbalanceofmytuitionandfees.Theuniversitywillcalculatethefinancechargebyapplyingtheperiodicrateofonepercent(1%)permonth(Annual
PercentageRateof12%)totheunpaidbalanceamountlessanypaymentsorcreditsmade.Inaddition,Iwillpayalatechargepersemesteraccordingtothelate
chargescheduleabove.IunderstandthatImayavoidassessmentoffinancechargesandlatechargesbypayingthefullamountofthetuitionandfeesduebythe
publisheddate.
IunderstandthatifIameligibleforapaymentplanoptionandIelecttoenrollinapaymentplan,Iamresponsibleforanyunpaidbalanceonmystudentaccountifan

PastDueAccounts
IunderstandthatifIfailtopaythetotalamountdueforallcharges,Iamsubjecttothefollowingpenalties:

Notranscripts,diplomas,orcertificationmaterialswillbeissuedtomeuntilmybillispaidinfull.
MypastdueaccountmaybereferredtotheuniversitysStudentDebtManagementDepartmentforcollection.
Ifmyaccountisreferredtoanoutsidecollectionagency,thedelinquencymaybereportedtonationalcreditbureaus.
Ifmyaccountisreferredtoanoutsidecollectionagency,Iagreetoreimbursetheuniversityforcollectionagencycosts,expenses,andfeesincurredbytheuniversity
insuchcollectioneffortsand,Iunderstandthatsuchcollectioncosts,expensesandfeesmayincludepercentagebasedfeeschargedtotheuniversitybythe
collectionagency,includingpercentagebasedfeesofupto30%ofthedebtcollected.Anycollectionscostsstatedabovearechargedinadditiontotheprincipal,
feesandinterestdueonmystudentaccount.
IamresponsibleforreasonableattorneysfeesandcourtcostsassociatedwithcollectingorenforcingmypastdueaccountasallowedunderColoradolaw.
PursuanttoColoradoRevisedStatutes(CRS)235115,intheeventofadefaultofmyaccountowedtotheuniversity,theuniversitymaycertifytotheColorado
DepartmentofRevenue(DOR)informationaboutme,includingmyname,socialsecuritynumber,theamountofthedebtandanyotheridentifyinginformationrequired
bytheDOR.TheDORmaythendisbursefunds.
Alloutstandingtuitionaccountbalancesareconsideredqualifiededucationalloansunder26UnitedStatesCode(USC)221andareextendedwiththeexpress
understandingthatfuturerepaymentshallbemadetotheuniversity.Ifurtherunderstandthatmyacceptanceofthesetermsrepresentsmyacknowledgementand
acceptanceofmystudentaccountbalanceasaqualifiededucationloanunderInternalRevenueCode221,andassuch,itsexemptionfromdischargeunderthe
federalbankruptcycode,11USC(USC)523(a)(8).

EntireAgreement
Thisagreementsupersedesallpriorunderstandings,representations,negotiationsandcorrespondencebetweenthestudentandtheuniversityandconstitutesthe
entireagreementbetweenthepartieswithrespecttothemattersdescribed.Thisagreementshallnotbemodifiedoraffectedbyanycourseofdealingorcourseof
performance.Thisagreementmaybemodifiedbytheuniversityifthemodificationissignedbyme.Anymodificationisspecificallylimitedtothosepoliciesand/or
termsaddressedinthemodification.
Severability
Ifanytermofthisagreementistoanyextentillegal,otherwiseinvalid,orincapableofbeingenforced,suchtermshallbeexcludedtotheextentofsuchinvalidityor
unenforceabilityallothertermshereofshallremaininfullforceandeffectand,totheextentpermittedandpossible,theinvalidorunenforceabletermshallbe
deemedreplacedbyatermthatisvalidandenforceableandthatcomesclosesttoexpressingtheintentionofsuchinvalidorunenforceableterm.
