VERBAL BULLYING

We tend to consider something serious bullying at the time in which we are told of physical or sexual
assault . Therefore, we tend to think that while the child is not subjected to actual physical damage , the
situation is worrying .
However, cases of verbal bullying , suffered daily many children and adolescents in their schools , are no
less harmful to their welfare. These guys are subjected day after day without hope that the situation will
change , racist or sexual comments , insults, name-calling ... Though never lift a hand against them ,
these guys are undergoing psychological abuse that can seriously damage your self-esteem, his
personality and the way we understand social relations. Verbal harassment and bullying can be even
more damaging than physical attacks , as insults go directly to the deepest feelings of the victim ,
destroying their self-esteem and leaving wounds that can be very difficult to cure.
Verbal bullies use nicknames , insults and jokes to humiliate and hurt . With these behaviors bullies feel
their control over the victim , and they notice their helplessness and know they have the power to hurt
anytime. We can distinguish two types of verbal bullies :
Some have a too high self-esteem , the kings of the world will believe and why they believe they are
able to insult whoever they want . These children often insulting to everyone in general and those who
dislike them for some reason in particular.
Another group, by contrast, shows a low self esteem. They feel inferior and therefore try to improve
their social status in front of the other students selecting a victim who subject their insults.
As for the victims , but everyone can be the target of insults from a stalker , there are certain types of
children may be more likely as children with low self-esteem and shortcomings regarding the defense of
their rights , children different culture , religion or language or children ( too fat , too thin , bespectacled ...
) physical differences.

BULLYING VERBAL
Tendemos a considerar el acoso escolar algo grave en el momento en el que
se nos habla de agresiones fsicas o sexuales. Por ello, solemos pensar que,
mientras no se someta al nio a verdadero dao fsico, la situacin no resulta
preocupante.

Sin embargo, los casos de bullying verbal, que sufren a diario muchos nios y
adolescentes en sus colegios, no son menos dainos para su bienestar. Estos
chicos se someten, das tras da y sin esperanza de que la situacin cambie, a
comentarios racistas o sexuales, insultos, motes Aunque nunca se levante
una mano contra ellos, estos chicos estn sufriendo un abuso psicolgico que
puede daar seriamente su autoestima, su personalidad y la forma en la que
entienden las relaciones sociales. El acoso y la intimidacin verbal pueden
resultar incluso ms dainos que los ataques fsicos, ya que los insultos se
dirigen directamente a los sentimientos ms profundos de la vctima,
destrozando su autoestima y dejando unas heridas que pueden resultar muy
difciles de curar.

Los acosadores verbales usan los motes, insultos y bromas para humillar y
herir. Con estas conductas los acosadores sienten el control que ejercen sobre
la vctima, ya que notan su indefensin y saben que tienen el poder de hacerle
dao cuando quieran. Podemos distinguir dos tipos de acosadores verbales:
Algunos tienen una autoestima demasiado elevada, se creen los reyes del
mundo y por ello consideran que estn en condiciones de insultar a quien
quieran. Estos nios suelen insultar a todo el mundo en general y a aquellos
que les disgustan por alguna razn, en particular.
Otro grupo, por el contrario, muestra una autoestima baja. Se sienten
inferiores y por ello tratan de mejorar su status social delante de los dems
compaeros eligiendo a una vctima a la que someter a sus insultos.

En cuanto a las vctimas, aunque todo el mundo puede ser objetivo de los
insultos de un acosador, hay ciertos tipos de nios que pueden resultar ms
proclives, como los nios con baja autoestima y carencias en cuanto a la
defensa de sus derechos, nios de diferente cultura, religin o idioma o nios
con diferencias fsicas (muy gordos, muy delgados, con gafas).
