Summary
Should a customer express concern over a metallic noise coming from the front spindle carriers when pulling away in
1st gear or reversing, the front axle half shaft should be partially removed from the spindle carrier and sealant applied
to the splines.
NOTE: Do not drive the vehicle for at least 6 hours after the repair has been carried out.

3. Move the front axle halfshaft out of the spindle carrier as far
as possible.
4. NOTE: Make sure that all contact surfaces are free from
grease, dirt and residues of the brake cleaner.
Througly clean the splines of the front axle halfshaft
constant velocity joint with brake cleaner (see Parts
Required) and dry them with compressed air.
6.
Rotate the front wheel and tire while applying the sealant.
