Much of our lives are about friendship and hope, fear and

aspiration. As we read the Bible, we discover that the characters


we meet have similar stories, needs and challenges. The power
of the Bible is its ability to speak into our ordinary experience;
that is, how we make relationships and how we take
responsibility for our lives and the lives of others.
Today, we have reached the New Testament in our journey
through the Bible looking at two fundamental themes;
covenant and kingdom relationships and responsibility
worked out in the lives of some key characters who stirred
nations and changed history.

Our monthly Messy Church returns after
the summer holiday on Saturday 12th
September: 4pm at High View school.
Its a great opportunity for families to meet
up to enjoy a Bible themed afternoon with
craft, challenges and activities.

Church of the Good Shepherd, Carshalton
Alpha is for anyone who wants a non-threatening and
informal place to thrash-out the meaning of life; discuss what
Christianity is all about; and for those
who love good food and conversation,
over ten thought-provoking weeks.
