    This"Gate"wasdiscoveredbyaccidentwhenlocaltourguideJoseLuisDelgadoMamaniwashikinginthe
    surroundingarea.CuriouslyMamanistatedthathehadlongbeforedreamedaboutthisstructureandsawwhat
    appearedtobeadoorcoveredwithpinkmarblewithseveralfigureslocatedtothesides.Thesevisionsareclosely
    linkedtothelegendsofthenativeIndiansoftheareathattellthatthis"door"wasa"gatewaytothelandofthe
    Gods".Legendsspeakthatinthedistantpast,greatheroescrossedintothelandofthegods,enjoyingaprosperous
    andgloriousimmortallife.
    AnotherlegendsaysthatduringthetimeoftheSpanishconquest,anIncanpriestcalled
    AmaruMuru,fromthetempleofthesevenraysfledfromhistemplewithasacredgoldendiskknownas"the
    keytothegodsofthesevenrays".ThepriesthidinthemountainsofHayuBrandafraidthattheSpanishmight
    takethekeyfromhim.
    Laterthepriestarrivedatthe"GateoftheGods"atHayuMarca,whereheshowedthekeytoseveralpriestsand
    shamansofthearea.Aftertheyperformedaritual,thedooropenedwithabluelightemanatingfromit.Thepriest,
    AmaruMuruhandedthegoldendisktooneoftheshamansandenteredthedoor,hewasneverseenagain.

    Mysteriously,researchershavefoundacirculardepressiontothesideofthedoorwhereasmallerdiskshaped
    objectcouldhavebeenplaced.
    Visitorswhohavetraveledtothe"GateoftheGods"atHayuMarca,andwhohaveplacedtheirhandsonthesmall
    doorstatethattheyfeelagreatenergythatflowsthroughtheirbodies,theyhavealsodescribedstrangevisionslike
    stars,columnsoffireandmusicwhichsomedescribedasbeing"rhythmic,unusualandextraordinary".
    The"GateoftheGods"atHayuMarcaresemblesthePuertadelSoldeTiwanaku(Tiahuanaco)andfiveother
    archaeologicalsitesinthevicinity.MysteriouslyifwedrawstraightlinesbetweentheGateoftheGods"
    atHayuMarca,thePuertadelSoldeTiwanakuandotherarchaeologicalsites,wegetastrangecrossthatjoinsat
    thecenterattheplateauofLakeTiticaca,oneofthemostsacredplacesintheregion.
