WEEK 1 RUNDOWN: The second season of the Boys Fantasy Football League will kick off when
the NFL season begins on Thursday, Sept. 10. The league will look to build upon a successful
first season, where owner Michael Garr (Gazette Reporter) was the first owner to capture the
OReany Memorial Fancy. The Week 1 schedule features a rematch from last years championship game between Garr and Seth (Noahs Ark). Also taking place is a rematch of last years
Lizska final between Tyler (Thor Loko) and Hider (For Mucks Sake). Steve (Pump Up The Kids)
will get an early test against Noonans revamped roster (Cards and Bergers) while the friendly
rivalry between Matt(St. Louis Scramblers) and Chris (Half-Price Fajitas) will be renewed.
DUUUUDE. WE MAKIN MOOOOVES: The 2015 BFFL draft featured numerous trades thanks
to deals made last season and leading up to draft night. Of the 192 selections made during
the draft, 54 were picks that traded hands at least once. No one made more movement for
this draft than Tyler, who had made all 24 of his picks by the 17th round. Noonan was another
owner fond of trading, as he made only 12 picks he owned in their original spots.
FINDERS KEEPERS: All eight owners took advantage of the BFFLs keeper rules to varying
degrees. All in all, 17 players were kept, with Noonan, Steve and Seth keeping the most
players with three each. Steve, Seth and Garr were the only owners to use franchise tags to
keep Eddie Lacy, LeVeon Bell and Antonio Brown respectively. In a move that will be watched
closely throughout the season, Hider declined to keep Jamaal Charles with the No. 2 pick, and
instead selected Marshawn Lynch. Charles was then selected with the No. 1 overall pick by
Tyler.
SHUFFLING THE DECK: After just one season, members of the BFFL decided to realign the divisions for the 2015 season. The two divisions based on living locations at Ohio University have
been replaced with ones based on graduation dates. The xxxx will feature the four owners
that graduated college early (Seth, Tyler, Noonan, and Hider) while the xxxx will be for the
four owners that graduated college in the normal four-year window (Steve, Chris, Matt and
Garr).
STUCK IN THE BASEMENT: Tyler will enter the 2015 season looking to shake a dubious 12game losing streak. His last win came against Steve during Week 4 of the 2014 season.
IF YOU TAKE A SWING AT THE KING, YOU BETTER NOT MISS: Garr will begin his title defense in a championship game rematch against Seth in Week 1. The two foes split their two
regular season meetings in 2014, but Garr won the rubber match and the OReany Memorial
Fancy with a 139.88-107.12 win in the final.
AND THE WINNER IS...: Noonan...Well, that predection is soley based on Yahoo!s predictions
for the upcoming season. His 2,278 projected points are more than anyone else in the league
with Tyler projected to be second with 2,212 points. The only team projected to finish less
than 2,000 points is Seth at 1,996.
PIMPN ALL OVER THE WORLD: There have been numerous relocations of BFFL owners since
the 2014 season began. Steve drafted and played Week 1 in Nashville before moving to Pittsburgh. He will begin 2015 by relocating his franchise to Salisbury, Md. Chris and Noonan will
play the 2015 season in Columbus after playing 2014 in Canton and Cincinnati respectively.
Seth will embark on the 2015 campaign in Birmingham after a midseason move last year. With
Hider preparing to move to Cincinnati, Garr (Pittsburgh) and Matt (St. Louis) will be the only
owners left to have their teams in one place for the entire history of the league.
