Analyzer Update

1 In this version
This release contains support for new and updated file formats. There are updates for most
technologies that Actix supports, with changes falling under the following categories:

New collection device support:

Added support for Rohde & Schwartz version 4.69.

Added support for DataPro version 6.4.

Added support for Ericsson W12B GPEH files.

Added support for the Hisilicon chipset in Ding Li file format.

Added support for LGKX266 device in Ding Li file format.

Added support for the Samsung S5830 device in Ding Li file


format.

Added support for the Huawei C8600 device in Ding Li file


format.

Added support for the PCTel MX Scanner in DataPro file format.

Extended support for calculating GPS coordinates for indoor


files from the file formats of Ascom TEMS, Nemo, and ZK
Celltest.

Application layer improvements:

Fixed a problem with GSM - CW Scan Form and Quality Chart in


Radio Network Explorer.

Platform improvements:

Actix Analyzer Update

Added support for Windows 8.

Added a new feature for the interactive placement of floorplan


images on the Map.

Added the ability to display TAB files with raster images on top
of Bing maps.

Added Bzier curve GPS interpolation.

A number of instability issues when closing or opening


workspaces have been resolved.

A problem that causes reports to run inconsistently with nonEnglish regional settings has been solved.

2 New collection device or technology support


2.1 Agilent AOD support

[Case 68753] An issue with Agilent JDSU 16.3 Indoor logfiles was
solved. The software was optimised in order to load these files much
faster.

2.2 Ascom TEMS support

[Cases 67977, 69439] LTE attributes decoding have been improved for
LTE scanners. Further RF attributes have been added.
[Case 67445] TEMS 13.1.2 DRT LTE Scanner decoding has been
improved. Added the Scan_RSSI_by_FREQ attribute.
[Case 70864] An issue has been solved that stopped Analyzer loading
logfiles with invalid timestamps.
TEMS Indoor support for indoor data positioning on maps has been
added.

2.3 Ding Li support

[Case 70759] Added support for the LGKX266 device.

[Case 70494] Added support for the Samsung S5830 device.

[Case 67745] Added support for the Huawei C8600 device.

Added support for the Hisilicon chipset.

[Case 69146] Problem with invalid Ping RTT values was solved.

2.4 Ericsson CT support

[Case 70705] Added support for Ericsson W12B GPEH files.

2.5 Huawei CT support

[Case 70787] Call attempts event detection has been improved.


[Case 70788] Inter-frequency handover event detection has been
improved.

3G to 2G Handover event detection has been improved.

Multi RAB event detection has been improved.

2.6 Huawei Probe support

[Case 71045] Added support for 2G messages in Huawei scanner


logfiles.

2.7 Meritech support

[Case 67302] A problem has been fixed that could cause Analyzer to
show incorrect logfile size values.

2.8 Nemo support

[Case 64718] Added new "top N" attributes broken down per EARFCN,
such as:
LTE_Scan_RSRP_ for_EARFCN_0_ SortedBy_RSRP_0
[Case 70471, 70532] A problem has been resolved that caused Analyzer
to crash while loading Nemo 6.1 and 6.3 logfiles.
[Case 62862] Call drop event detection have been improved for cases
where RRC re-establishment procedure fails.
[Case 71096] Nemo Handy support for indoor data positioning on map
has been added.
[Case 70617] Added new attributes based on the RRCSM message:

2.10 Qualcomm support

[Case 66592] A problem with decoding RLP Statistics and Abort


Performance has been solved.
[Case 65294] An issue with decoding the logcode 0x1476 GNSS Position
Report has been solved.
Qualcomm LTE stream detection has been improved.

2.11 Rohde & Schwarz support

Added support for Rohde & Schwarz version 4.69.


[Case 68947] Stream type flags for LTE devices have been upgraded.
UMTS support has been added for LTE devices.

[Case 68338] LTE event detection has been improved.

[Case 68930] Added BLER decoding for R&S files:

LTE_UE_Residual_BLER_DL

LTE_UE_Residual_BLER_UL

LTE RSRQ detection has been improved. Odd RSRQ values are no longer
presented.

2.12 Swissqual support

[Case 68594] An improvement has been made on the Swissqual event


detection that shifts the Start of the call event to the Session Start
marker.
[Case 70834] An issue have been solved that made Analyzer incessantly
load some Swisscall logfiles.

2.13 Verizon DataPro support

[Case 69048] Rohde & Schwarz TSMW Scanner LTE Measurement


Record decoding has been added.

[Case 69048] PCTel MX Scanner support has been added.

Added support for Verizon DataPro version 6.4.

2.14 Generic

A problem has been resolved that caused Analyzer to set the attribute
"LTE_RRCConnection_HO_toUMTS_Fail" twice.

An improvement has been made in order to set the NAS message type
through a ciphered NAS message.
[Case 61578] A problem has been fixed that prevented the attribute
GSM_Call_Setup_Time to be correctly set when no "RR Channel
Request" message occurred.

The RxQual_by_SectorHandle attribute has been added.

Erlang Calculation per location has been added for LTE.

Format group Ericsson UETR RAB Type has been updated.

A problem has been resolved that made Analyzer double LU Reject, LU


Normal, LU Periodic, RAU values.
For indoor scenarios where the log files do not contain sufficient
information with which to calculate GPS coordinates, a feature has been
added where information from a certain TAB file (see section 4.2) can
be used by Analyzer to calculate coordinates anyway. At this point,
support has been added for the following formats:

3 Application layer improvements


3.1 Analyzer

[Case 63562] GSM - CW Scan Form have been improved. New tooltips
and Y-Axis values have been added.
[Case 62084] Detected set chart has been improved. Invalid detected
set SCs are no longer shown.
[Case 66765] The GSM Design Validation & Quick Analysis report was
improved in order to present correct call drop values.

3.2 Spotlight

[Case 61986] The Quality Chart in Radio Network Explorer has been
improved in order to be populated with correct results for all known
logfiles.

4 Platform improvements
4.1 Generic

Windows 8 is now supported.


A number of instability issues have been resolved when closing or
opening workspaces.
[Case 68386] A new Bzier curve mode has been added for GPS
interpolation.

4.2 Map

Added a new feature to let the user place a floorplan image on the Map.
It enables the user to drag, scale, and rotate the image. The result can
be exported as a TAB file. The TAB file can be used for:

Positioning the floorplan image on the Map in other Analyzer


sessions.

Calculation of GPS coordinates for indoor files with otherwise


insufficient information with which to do so (see bottommost
bullet point from section 2.14).

Added the ability to display TAB files with raster images on top of Bing
maps.

4.3 Reporting

[Case 69940] A problem has been solved that caused reports to run
inconsistently with non-English regional settings.
