Mobiltemp SHC Special Series

Super Premium Synthetic High Temperature Greases

Product Description
Mobiltemp SHC Special Series are super premium, high temperature, extreme pressure
greases which combine the unique features of synthetic base fluids with an organo-clay (nonsoap) thickener. The wax-free nature of the synthetic fluids, together with their low coefficient of
traction compared with mineral oils, provide excellent low temperature lubrication, oxidation
stability at high temperatures plus the potential for energy savings through reduced friction and
lower torque. The clay thickener has excellent structural stability at very high temperatures.
Mobiltemp SHC Special Series contain molybdenum disulfide for added wear protection under
sliding conditions.
Mobiltemp SHC Special Series do not contain lead, chlorine or nitrites.

Applications
Mobliltemp SHC 100 Special has a recommended operating temperature range of -50oC to
+200oC with appropriate relubrication intervals. It is particularly suited for the lubrication of high

temperature bearings and cams, ways and other sliding elements where a wide operating
temperature range and extended relubrication intervals are required. Mobiltemp SHC 100
Special is also recommended for use in constant velocity joints under severe conditions (high
torque, high and low temperatures).
Mobiltemp SHC 460 Special has a recommended operating range of -40oC to +200oC with
appropriate relubrication intervals. This grease provides outstanding performance in severe
applications where very high temperatures and/or low temperatures are encountered. It is
recommended for the lubrication of components such as oven conveyor or kiln bearings which
are subject to high temperatures or cycling from normal to high temperatures. Mobiltemp SHC
460 Special is particularly suited for the lubrication of cams, ways and other sliding machine
elements subject to long relubrication intervals, limited motion or shock loading.
