1.3 Checking the Operation

1.3.1 Type Settings
Make country/region settings of the FAX board in service mode (FAX>Type>TYPE).
With the settings, parameter will be set to meet the communication standards for each country/region.

1.3.2 Basic Settings

In this section, make only minimum settings required for FAX communication.
- User Phone Number
Additional Function Key > [Communications Settings] > [User Settings] >
[Unit Telephone #] > Enter fax number > [OK]
- Telephone Line Type
Additional Function Key > [Communications Settings] > [User Settings] >
[Tel Line Type] > Select a type of line connection > [OK]

1.3.3 Communication Test

2) If there is dial tone, enter any phone service number (such as time signal) with the numeric keys to see if the service
starts properly. If the service fails to be started, make sure that the line type specified in user mode and the line
type connected to the machine match.
3) Enter phone number of a destination available for the communication test with the numeric keys, and send a test
document; make sure that the document is properly sent.
4) Send a test document from the other machine of the communication test, and make sure that the machine properly
receives the document.
