Goal
Provide business outcomes to early stage innovative tech startups in the Balkan region
Outcomes
Market ready, investment ready, support in fundraising and business development.
Format
Early stage acceleration program covering multiple verticals, based on weekend intensive modular
weekends and regular coaching sessions, with a demo day at the end.
Content
Delivery of startup fundamental content in one weekend along with coaching, then provide know-how
on special verticals over modular weekend workshops. Offline and online coaching sessions are
organized throughout the whole program.

Balkans program, of the World Bank, supported by the European Commission.
SuperFounders is supporting the mentoring component of Pioneers of the Balkans by selecting 10 companies to be
accelerated through the intensive program.

Goal
Maximize local and regional awareness of the overall program, maximize sign ups.

Kick-off Weekend
Goal
Adopt the fundamental theory for startups and work out practically the case for each startup.
Introduce startups to the goals of the program, to mentors and to eachother. Create an engaged and
collaborative community.
Format
A weekend event, containing lectures, coaching and program induction.
Content
There will be presentations by qualified mentors on:
1. Hiring, execution and culture
2. Building a product and growing
3. Talking to first customers
4. Pitching and raising money
5. Designing the experience
6. Tracking finances

Focus sectors
Goal
Provide startups with knowledge how to develop their product and business in a specific vertical.
Connect startups with industry experts in the respective vertical, so they can get mentoring, contacts,
business support on the spot at the event and on following sessions.
Format
Each sector is covered during one focus weekend and a mix of online and live mentoring. The focus
weekend covers business and technological areas relevant to the specific sector, delivered by
experienced entrepreneurs, scientists or investors in the sector. Participants also have access to the
mentors for online coaching sessions.

Format
Online video conference calls with program staff and mentors. Startups will be checked upon and
proactively pushed forward by program coordination staff, scheduling coaching session when
needed.
Schedule
Each startup will receive at least two follow up coaching session on the fundamental topics from the
kick-off weekend and at least two coaching sessions with mentors experts in the verticals they
attended.
Scheduling with each mentor will be on first come first served basis, in the available time.

Format
Organize weekly meetups throughout the duration of the program, with two parts:
1. Private face-to-face coaching sessions with multiple local mentors which may include
experienced businessmen, angel investors, startup experts, fund managers, industry experts.
Each private session may last 20-30 minutes. In total the coaching should last two hours, with
parallel mentoring sessions for multiple startups.
2. Provide relevant lectures by local experts, open for the whole community.
Schedule
Each mentor will dedicate at least one day for online sessions, where a number of startups can be
involved. Time slots will be during work weeks.
Scheduling with each mentor will be on first come first served basis, in the available time.

Demo Day
Goal
Highlight the result of the SuperFounders Start and introduce startups to investors.
Format
It will take place within the Balkan Venture Forum in Zagreb on Dec 3-4, as a separate program, with
a few key presentations, a coaching segment, a final pitching session(3min pitch, 3 min questions),
and an award ceremony.
The audience and the jury will be over 20 selected investors.
Top 5 startups will qualify to apply for the Startup Exchange.

Startup Exchange
It is a program for top alumni startups selected at the Demo Day, allowing them to apply for a one
week curated business development program throughout the eco-system of one of these partner
hubs: Numa - Paris, Tetuan Valley - Madrid, Lisbon Challenge - Lisbon, H-Farm - Venice. The
hosting hub partner must also approve the applying startups for the Startup Exchange.
Only alumni startups are eligible to participate (so startups that have graduated.)
Startups must have a product launch and traction.
The Startup Exchange is facilitated by the ATALANTA project.
