Are you friendly, out-going and have been involved in campus life? Do you know the St. George campus
like the back of your hand? Are you interested in welcoming new students to U of T? If so, were looking
for you to become an ASKme Student Ambassador!
ASKme Student Ambassadors are upper-year students or recent grads who work as a team to welcome
and support new students when they first arrive on campus in September. As an ASKme Student
Ambassador you will be available at "pop-up" booths in high-traffic areas of the St. George campus to
answer questions, and provide information and directions to new students.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
Must be an upper-year student or recent graduate of U of T
Must be familiar with the St. George campus
Must be available to work full-time weekdays Sept. 8 18, 2015
Must be available to attend a training session on September 2, 2015 from 2:00 - 5:00 pm.
Involvement in student government, student clubs or other co-curricular activities an asset
Keen desire to welcome and support new students
Duties

Staff small portable booths in high-traffic areas of the St. George campus
Transport, set up and disassemble portable booth and canopy tent
Answer questions, provide directions and offer advice to new students
Help to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for students new to the campus
Track the number and nature of inquiries received
Attend a mandatory training session for all new ASKme Student Ambassadors
