story map. We were not able to finish it but
luckily, we were supposed to present it on

last chance to present.

Learning Log
This week, we studied about subject verb agreement. It is
slightly confusing but with the help of our English Teacher, it become
a bit easy. I thought making a sentence is all about Grammar. But I
was wrong, there are rules you need to follow.
Rule # 1 was easy, a singular subject takes a singular
verb and a plural subject takes a plural verb. Its like your making a
compound sentence. It was just a simple rule that is easy to
understand.
Rule # 4 was easy too, Adjectives proceeded by the
takes a plural verb. Its also easy to understand. Making a sentence
about rule # 4 could be simple.
Rule # 7 was a bit hard, using the words A number of
and The number of. It was hard trying to think of a sentence using
A number of in a plural form. But it got me a minute to understand
it.
Rule # 9 was also a bit difficult, Nouns denoting quality,
fraction, fraction, percentage, currency takes a singular verb. I
started to understand when our English Teacher started to give an
example and justify it.

Learning Log
Last week we studied about the different
tenses of verbs (Past tense, Present tense, and Future
tense). We had an activity. We were assigned to list
down words that are formed in Past tense, Present
tense and Future tense. Some of my classmates had a
hard time in forming the verbs into the different
tenses. I, too had a hard time in spellings, but I chose
the verbs that are easy to transform into the different
tenses.
On the next day we had an assignment to
study about the Pronoun Antecedent Agreement. I
studied so that in the following day I could participate.

Learning Log
When our teacher was teaching, I noticed Maam, Guimbaolibot was
observing her teaching skills. I tried to participate more actively so that Maam
Guimbaolibot will see how good our teacher is in explaining her lesson. Yet, I get a
bit nervous in participating when there is an observer.
Our lesson was about narrative. Narrative is a story that is told or
written from the years of our ancestors (on my own words). There are four
parts/example of narrative , these are title, setting, plot, and theme.
In the next day, Maam Mallorie wasnt around so Maam Esther
came and took her place for the day. She gave an activity about story map. It was
easy, but I dont really know if I got a perfect score about the story map.
In the next day, Maam Mallorie was able to attend her period. She
returned our papers which contained a paragraph in a declarative form. I got a score
of 26. Plus, the note says, You have a catchy introduction, keep it up.
Since we still have time, Maam Mallorie let one of classmate read
the story Whats in a name. When my classmate finish reading, our teacher asked
a question, Why is the title Whats in a name? I quickly raise my right hand but
she didnt called me. First, she called the ones who did not listen to the story while
it was being read. Lastly, she called me and I answered. Because every name has
its own meaning. I was correct and she let me sat down on my chair.
On the next day, we watched a movie. The title is God is not Dead.
I didnt really get the story because of the noise . I couldnt really recall the
characters. But all I know that there is a man who had a teacher/professor forced all
his students to write God is Dead but the man refused. The professor/teacher was
a bit upset that he refuses his order. So the teacher made him a choice, he write God
is dead or explain why he refuses to write. He chose to explain. Under my
observation, the man might be faithful and courageous. I didnt really get the story
but I know some things because of the action of each character.

Learning

Log
This week I learned many things, of course. Tuesday we studied
about Pronoun-Antecedent Agreement.Wednesday, we learned about
the different kinds of sentence and simple and compound sentence.
Thursday, Cylla and Athena my classmates, told us a story.

Pronoun-Antecedent Agreement is just like Subject Verb

Agreement, they both have rules, but, Pronoun Antecedent
Agreement is focused on pronouns. All I could mention is Rule # 1, A
phrase or clause between the subject and verb does not change the
number of the Antecedent.
Kinds of sentence, we already studied this in 5th Grade.
Declarative Sentence, makes a statement that gives information, always
ends with a period. Exclamatory Sentence, is a statement which
expresses a strong feeling. Interrogative Sentence, is a statement which
asks questions. Lastly, Imperative Sentence, is a statement that gives a
command or requests.
We also studied the simple and command sentence. A simple
sentence is a sentence consisting of only one clause, with a single subject
and predicate.
The other day, Cylla and Athena told us an emotional story.
Actually, it wasnt much of a story it was a movie. It was a story of a dog,
taken care and loved by an old man. The old man loved the dog as his
own child. He gives his time with the dog. He trained the dog. It was a
proof or evidence that a dog is truly a mans best friend.
Teacher/Maam, please continue giving interesting activities.

Learning Log
This week we studied about wh questions and tag
questions. I know it would be easy because we already studied
this at 5th Grade.
Wh questions (who, where, why, when, etc.) have

their own definition/meaning. Who asks about a person.

Where asks about the place. When asks for the time. In 5th
grade we just study how to use wh questions but today we
studied about their definition in order to use them in a correct
way.
Tag question is easy because we studied this in 6th
Grade. Tag questions turn statement into a question. It is often
used for checking information that we think that we know is
true.
On the following day, we had a quiz about tag
question. It was easy but Im not sure if I have a perfect score.
On the next day we copied our next lesson (How a Tag
Question is Transformed) and she discussed after we copied.
On the following day, we copied our next lesson
(Reported Statements).
