Extracurricular is a combination of the Latin

prefix extra- meaning "on the outside" and the
word curriculum, meaning "a running, course, career."
Something that is extracurricular is on the outside of your
course or career. When you get involved in an extracurricular
activity, you are going outside of what's expected.
-outside the regular academic curriculum
-extracurricular activities may be offered or

coordinated by a school, but may not be explicitly

connected to academic learning.
2. Co-curricular activities

-Co-curricular activities are an extension of the formal

learning experiences in a course or academic program
- Co-curricular refers to activities, programs, and learning
experiences that complement, in some way, what students
are learning in schooli.e., experiences that are connected to
or mirror the academic curriculum.
3. TE Department
-Teacher education refers to the policies and procedures
designed to equip prospective teachers with the knowledge,
attitudes, behaviors and skills they require to perform their
tasks effectively in the classroom, school and wider
community
-The FSUU Teacher Education Program commits to cultivate the
holistic continuing formation of every education student through
constructive learning. It aims to produce quality-oriented teachers
with the URIAN core values. Students in this program participate
in an engaging approach which promotes maximum learning
thereby keeping them abreast with the latest trend in education.
4. Theater Arts

-Forms

of creative activity that are performed in front of an

audience, such as drama, music, and dance.
5. Server of God
-Son of God means Servant of God.
-Servant of God is a title given to individuals by various religions, and
in general it is a person believed to be pious in his or her faith
tradition. In the Catholic Church, it designates someone who is being
investigated by the Church for possible sainthood.
6. FSUU DANCE COMPANY
-The Father Saturnino Urios University Dance Company (FSUUDC) is the official
dance company of the Father Saturnino Urios University, Butuan City. The group
is composed of bonafide students coming from the different academic programs
of the university who are carefully selected and passed the audition set by the
committee. A number of alumni still continue to express their dancing enthusiasm
by getting involved in the company.

FSUU Dance Company is wiht the university's culture and arts program of the
office of the Director of Student Affairs.It serves institutional academic and nonacademic activities, cultural and non-cultural activities outside the university
which are sponsored by the government and non-government agencies.
FSUU Dance Company stages "Pasundayag" an annual major event of the
university during the culminating activity in celebration of National Arts Month
every February.

FSUU Dance Company is with the choreography of its Artistic Director and
Coordinator of the university's Culture and Arts Program, Dr. Pepito O. Mosquito.

7. Honor Society
-recognizes the academic achievement of top students and provides
scholarships, career placement and more.

8. VOLC (in FSUU)

-the group of people who are courageous, cultivated, fun, artistic, musical and
many more things that we can be describe of. There are 31 of us with different
kinds and classifications of our voices, 7 Sopranos, 7 Altos, 10 Tenors and 9
Basses.
