popular for two notes per string patterns or licks. But if any one is interested in wide stretching then the pentatonic scale can give
some very interesting sounding licks. Pentatonic scales can also be played with triplet sequences using the repeating technique of the
same notes at the upper or lower string of the currently playing string. Like while descending “A” pentatonic major scale,

Here, the note F# has been repeated while ascending from the 2nd degree (or 2nd note or super tonic) of the “A” pentatonic scale at the
1st string. the five note sequence of B – A – F# - E – C# becomes a six note (two triplets) sequence B – A – F# - F# - E – C# by using
this repeating method or technique.

B - A - F# - E - C#

B - A - F# F# - E - C#

Again, the same thing if ascended the “A” pentatonic major scale from the note “F#”, fifth degree of the scale, from the 6th string, the
same breaking down can be used by repeating the note B in 5th string.

Then the five note sequence of F# – A - B – C# – E becomes a six note (two triplets) sequence F# – A - B - B – C# – E by using this
repeating method or technique.

By using this repeating technique, the pentatonic scale can be played with triplet sequence over the entire fret board with five patterns
starting from each of the five degrees of the pentatonic scale. Here it has been demonstrated with “A” pentatonic major scale.
