Introduction:

Simulation modeling is understood as a real system with all the information

we have of the features and components thereof, of its structure and behavior, to
explain

and

describe

how

the

system

behaves.

This, in a real system project "ATMs CFE " is simulating , for relevance and be able
to make better decisions regarding the planning and design of systems. During the
project aims to identify events that change the state of the same , sudden changes
or

state

that

continually

changes

over

time

This project was carried out with the support of the topics reviewed in class and
counseling with the teacher, for better learning and reach good conclusions and
therefore making good decisions.
The ATMs CFE will be held where the project is located in Av. Playa Roqueta 106,
Col. Desarrollo San Pablo, 76125 Santiago de Quertaro, Qro.

General description:

The main objective of the simulation is to design and develop a model of a system or
process to understand its behavior and create alternatives for improvement.
The simulation can be implemented as a complex process or everyday problems,
this project will be built on ATMs to pay for electricity. The ATMs were created to
avoid waiting a turn or wasting time in line, just pay and go. In itself, the idea is very
good, but the problem is when it stops being good because for the purpose for which
it was created has changed because now you're going to have to do CFEmatico row.
For this reason, we chose this project because it is a service that everyone pay
every month and at least every time we go , time to service is very long and we
believe that this service loses functionality for which it was created . So we believe
that thoroughly analyze could find which is why it is a bad service.
The problem is that when the study was done to install the CFEmatico the population
was small and now the population according State Population Council (COESPO)

exceed 2 million inhabitants so we can conclude that the number of ATMs are
insufficient and causes congestion in rows and delay in service.

Problem/ Opportunity definition:

According to statistics showing INEGI, from 2010 to 2014 , the population in

Queretaro increased 1.9 % , therefore , when the CFE AMTs began to install in the
city , were designed to meet the demand of the population in that moment, without
thinking

about

the

great

growth

that

exists

today

There are important areas of opportunity in the project, as growing population and
have no more AMTs, the system slows AMTs, that is, the time between each
customer increases) and less efficient to meet demand .

Objective:

Through simulation system ATMs CFE, alternatives for reducing the processing time
are sought in order to increase the number of ATMs because the number of people
in Quertaro is increasing and this would increase productivity of the system.

Scope:

The scope of this project is :

Create a simulation (mathematical model ) of the CFE AMTs that are located in Av
Playa Roqueta 106, Col. San Pablo Development , 76125 Santiago de Quertaro ,
Quertaro .
Determine whether to create or generate more cash faster payment applications to
improve the system.
This project will be completed by November 24 of 2015.

Justification:

We use the simulation because the purpose of the project is based on a business
system where the process performance data collected will be analyzed and the
behavior is determined by the statistics. Besides each element composing the
system can be studied individually as an element it does not depend on another.
This problem is considered hard because already defined the problem that is the
length of the line to make a payment at an ATM.

Model conceptualization:

Conclusion:

By using the simulation for the problems they are having, CFEmaticos will have an
opportunity to improve their sample-population for the calculations and find out how
many CFEmaticos must be, in order to accomplish the objectives; create an
application where people can arrange an appointment with the objective of not
spending time in the row or servicing the machine to make effective the service;
separate people into the ranks depending on the area or the amount of money that
they will pay.
An analysis to see how much time people spend in the queue and service. Based on
this information analyze and model this behavior using statistical tools to create or
simulate alternatives to improve the system.
