WEEK 2 RUNDOWN: The first week came and went in the BFFL, and while there werent
any extreme performances in either direction, there is plenty of intrigue heading into Week
2. Three of the four matchups feature rivalries that were one sided in 2014. Chris, Hider
and Tyler will all look to break 0-2 skids against Seth, Steve and Matt respectively. The final
game is between the two best performers from Week 1, as Garr takes on Noonan.
STILL STUCK IN THE BASEMENT: Despite a revamped roster and plenty of preseason hype,
Tyler dropped his Week 1 matchup with Hider. His record losing streak now stands at 13
games.
THE RACE FOR THE GOAT: With their wins in Week 1, Garr and Matt remained tied atop
the BFFLs list of all-time wins leaders at 11. The two teams dont face off against each
other until Week 7.
INCONSISTENCY IS KEY: By failing to score 100 points last week, Seth became the first
member in BFFL history to have four sub-100 point weeks. Ironically, he still holds the
league record for highest scoring week ever.
LUCK OF THE HIDER: Despite getting a league-low 5.90 points from the QB position and
starting one player who failed to register a point (Sammy Watkins), Hider was still able to
pull out a Week 1 win. The only other playesr to suffer the dreaded Goose Egg were Chris
(DeSean Jackson) and Seth (Adam Vinateri)
WAIVER GEM OF THE WEEK: Noonan made a smart move by picking up and starting Carolinas defense, which netted him 25 points. That position was the second-highest scoring
player on his team in Week 1 behind Julio Jones.
BUST WATCH?: Of the players taken in the first round of the BFFL Draft, only one that
played didnt exceed their Yahoo! projection: Tylers Adrian Peterson. Tylers fourth-round
keeper, Greg Olsen, didnt fare much better by registering a total of 1.9 points.
TIGHT ENDS = FIRE EMOJIS: The four teams that won in Week 1 all had TEs that registered at least 12 points. Matt (Travis Kelce) and Hider (Rob Gronkowski) received the most
benefit from a great week for tight ends around the NFL.
RUNNING BACKS = NOT FIRE EMOJIS: The running back position was a frustrating one for
most owners of the league in the opening weekend. Only two RBs that started registered
over 20 points, while Matt and Chris were the only owners to have all of their starting RBs
cross the 10-point threshold. This will be an interesting trend to monitor during the season.
PIMPN ALL OVER THE WORLD: There have been numerous relocations of BFFL owners
since the 2014 season began. Steve drafted and played Week 1 in Nashville before moving
to Pittsburgh. He will begin 2015 by relocating his franchise to Salisbury, Md. Chris and
Noonan will play the 2015 season in Columbus after playing 2014 in Canton and Cincinnati respectively. Seth will embark on the 2015 campaign in Birmingham after a midseason
move last year. With Hider preparing to move to Cincinnati, Garr (Pittsburgh) and Matt (St.
Louis) will be the only owners left to have their teams in one place for the entire history of
the league.
