Marketing Coordinator
ASSOCIATION WITH SUBSTANCE AND PURPOSE
Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters is Canadas largest industry and trade association with members across
the country in all sectors of the economy. With offices in all provinces and international representatives, CME works
to promote the competitiveness of Canadian manufacturers and the success of Canada's goods and services
exporters in markets around the world. We do this through advocacy, business intelligence, business opportunities,
best practices and networking opportunities.
We are seeking an individual who is knowledgeable and passionate about manufacturing and exporting, can
function in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment, is able to develop and manage a communications strategy.
THE PERSON WHO SUCCEEDS AT THIS JOB WILL:
Create, implement and oversee communication strategy that effectively describe and promote CME and its
advocacy, programs & services
Be a strong researcher, writer and communicator who can promote the organization and our member
interests and raise the profile and recognition of manufacturing and exporting
Use consistent branding
Develop and produce brochures, graphics, program & event sheets, videos and other promotional products
Provide content and updates in order to maintain an informative website
Develop and launch the content of social media initiatives, in conjunction with the CME National standards
Initiate and manage all public relation activities including press releases, speaking opportunities, and trade
show activities
Collaborate with the CME Team and provide support in execution of programs and events
REPORTING STRUCTURE
You will report to CME Manitobas Operations Manager and be accountable to the CME Manitoba team.
EXPERIENCE
To do this job you must have .
A highly collaborative style; experience developing and implementing communications strategies
Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills
A strong track record as an implementer who thrives on managing a variety of key initiatives concurrently
Relationship builder with the flexibility and finesse to "manage by influence"
High energy, maturity, and leadership with the ability to serve as a unifying force and to position
communications discussions at both the strategic and tactical levels
The ability to work independently, be entrepreneurial
The interest to create and implement new initiatives
Some knowledge of Manufacturing
CREDENTIALS
A related degree or diploma such as communications, event planning, marketing or public relations (or
equivalent work experience)
Proficiency working with Microsoft Office and Social Media, Adobe Creative Suite would be an asset
Knowledge of overseeing creative production and execution (internally or with external agencies) a plus.
This can include issuing RFPs, managing budget, booking shoots, working with talent, writing copy,
providing feedback on work
A basic knowledge of video formats and online solutions (Youtube, Vimeo)
